Very awesome indeed! I had lots of fun building an epic ship. Not sure if it is intentional, but I found out you can split the ship into parts by dragging away a ship hull piece in the middle of the current ship and the attached guns will still fire, letting you set up little floating turrets around the map! They get kind of buggy to drag but could be a good feature with polish!

It was really fun, congrats!

At first the ship felt a bit uncontrollable, later I became better at it, but then extra boosters didn't help.. When the game started I didn’t realise that those things were parts. I thought it's like a refill station or something. :D So maybe there could be some labels there till you equip them. But I guess it was still intuitive because when I tried shooting and nothing happened, I instantly tried grabbing them and Voilá!

This sandbox, ship building was a really cool feature, and also a challenge! Assembling my ship while rotating, floating, and aliens are attacking... isn't easy for sure. I think there could be some retro rockets to stop your ship. Maybe it was me but pressing S didn't really slow down the ship.

At one point I think I found a glitch! I detached a part which was made of 3 parts... I could move around its subparts while they were also attached to (some of) each other? Even if they were physically so far away. So I had like 3 parts, all far away from each other, but they moved together in a way. One part also had a laser which reacted to my FIRE command even after detaching! . Which was **really cool**! I think this should be a feature. I was far away, but this little, static "turret" kept attacking... and sometimes I heard death sounds so it wasn't useless for sure! Till it was shot accidentally by an alien. :( But it would be cool to have a network of static turrets.

Anyway, great entry, keep up the good work!

@tudvari if you enjoyed it, it was definitely, 100%, an intentional feature. Yeah there's no stopping. You just have to spin around and push the other way. I went with old school Asteroids controls for better or worse.

At first I felt the ship was too slow, but it was because I lost the boost for the first rock I saw :face_palm:, later I got better drifting the ship around and positioning the turrets, it was really fun. Good game mate!

VERY FUN GAME! frantically dropping weapons onto your ship and trying to rotate it is loads of fun. I never needed more than one engine though so there wasnt much strategy to ship building. maybe the more pieces on your ship the heavier it gets so the more engines you need? also wish projectile speed scaled with ship speed. I ran into a bug where you could have floating parts considerably away from your ship but they are still attached and work. if you take off a rock part with a gun part on it, move the gun part, attach the rock part, and bam you have broken the natural law of the world lol. this game would be very fun with additional enemy types and part types. the arrows pointing to enemies really helps. I got stuck on level 2, no matter how many i destroyed and how many times it said it was going to the next level I was always on 2/5. fun game. Art and audio was understandably lacking a bit but the gameplay makes up for it.

What an awesome idea, I had so much fun! 😄 I really like the alternating flow of building and fighting. When playing for a bit I got really proud of the ship I put together. And then the aliens destroyed it before I could make a screenshot. Oh well. Also the art style and sound gave everything a nice vibe. Somehow the aliens kept coming and coming, but I never managed to get past wave 2, that might be a bug, or maybe I missed some game concept. Small suggestion for improvement for the controls of the ship: Indicating thrust and / or a little (exhaust) trail would go a long way to make everything feel more snappy. Anyway, really well done! 💜

I really liked the ship building mechanics, I was able to create a space monstrosity and I felt great. Idk if it was a bug or wave 2 was extremely long, but I seemed to be stuck on that one for quite a while, so I couldn't finish the game. It would be awesome if the more parts you add to the ship, more slower it gets and more boosters you need to make it faster. It seems that 2 boosters are the meta right now, and this would add a great sense of risk/reward to the ship building. Congrats on the game! :rocket:

Good stuff, bro! Really fun idea, and you did a good job executing it. Pretty difficult at first to get used to, but after a while it feels great! One minor complaint is that the speed boost is a bit too effective. Like, having more than two is just unconfortable. Also, while I like the music it would be nice if it had more than one bar repeating with two power chords. Also, I feel like sometimes the turrets and speed boosts don't connect with the ship when you expect it to. Is it because you can only mount them on the edge of the ship?
Anyway, this game is a real one! Enjoyed it!

Haha this was a blast. I love how I can change my ship parts up even after attaching them, it really makes the whole creative process of making an Awesome Spaceship, Dude, more forgiving. I love it!

Interesting concept, I like the building aspect and controls worked nicely.
I'm happy you spent the $25 in my game to fire those lazers (pew pew), I was hoping someone would find that funny.

This game has so much potential, but the controls are somewhat annoying. :'(
My biggest issue is vessel rotation. It's spinning like crazy. xD

During my first run I though it's because I placed the engine in a wrong way.
But it doesn't seem to help if I align them properly.

Another thing is a very short looped music track. 10-30 more seconds with some variety of patterns would make it loop less seemingly. But this exact short part is good; it's just easy to notice that it loops a lot.

Other than that, this idea is brilliant. I player 3 runs and I would play some more if not this rotation thing. xD
This is not the first game to interpret the limited space as a "limited space inside your space vessel", but this is the first time I had to manually put stuff on the ship.

The tutorial section is good. It gives you some time to get comfortable with controls (which you won't due to the rotation lol) and only after that it sends some enemies.

Damn the controls.. But after 10min it was ok.. felt like wave 2 went on for ever...
Music for very repetitive, but nice riff.
I had a very wide ship with lots of canons
Overall very nice job

I liked the mechanic of actually building your ship. I think a few more modules may have helped with the depth a bit without adding too much complexity. Maybe a radar, or seeking missile launcher? Or a recharging shield? Only so much time in a jam game. I hadn't seen anything like this before, and the hand-drawn bits were a unique art-style as well. I enjoyed rolling over some aliens for a bit in my take on the X-wing:

Very fun! I embodied this sign. ![plan_ahead](///raw/27b/z/600a6.jpg)
It didn't take long to completely obscure the ship so that I didn't know where the front was, but by that time the ship was a porcupine of laser guns so all good! :-)

Cute and fun entry that I enjoyed. The idea of drag and drop onto the ship was especially nice! Music not my thing for this sort of game but the rest of the experience held up very well.

Excellent work! Asteroids with building your own ship is an excellent idea!

The art style works well, the sound effects are effective, and the gameplay works!

Nice shooter. I liked the concept of adding more things to the ship by picking up stuff from blown up rocks. I managed to have 5 lasers on my last try.

Took a minute to figure out the controls. Liked being able to build the ship. The sound effects were also good.

Unbeatable space dildo! But I guess the wave counter is somehow stuck, I'm still on 2nd wave but there already were a lot of alien waves. Anyway, it's fun concept. I like building my own ship. After some time I cannot be beated so I'm just flying around and killing stuff. But if was fun! :)
