At first the ship felt a bit uncontrollable, later I became better at it, but then extra boosters didn't help.. When the game started I didn’t realise that those things were parts. I thought it's like a refill station or something. :D So maybe there could be some labels there till you equip them. But I guess it was still intuitive because when I tried shooting and nothing happened, I instantly tried grabbing them and Voilá!
This sandbox, ship building was a really cool feature, and also a challenge! Assembling my ship while rotating, floating, and aliens are attacking... isn't easy for sure. I think there could be some retro rockets to stop your ship. Maybe it was me but pressing S didn't really slow down the ship.
At one point I think I found a glitch! I detached a part which was made of 3 parts... I could move around its subparts while they were also attached to (some of) each other? Even if they were physically so far away. So I had like 3 parts, all far away from each other, but they moved together in a way. One part also had a laser which reacted to my FIRE command even after detaching! . Which was **really cool**! I think this should be a feature. I was far away, but this little, static "turret" kept attacking... and sometimes I heard death sounds so it wasn't useless for sure! Till it was shot accidentally by an alien. :( But it would be cool to have a network of static turrets.
Anyway, great entry, keep up the good work!
Anyway, this game is a real one! Enjoyed it!
I'm happy you spent the $25 in my game to fire those lazers (pew pew), I was hoping someone would find that funny.
My biggest issue is vessel rotation. It's spinning like crazy. xD
During my first run I though it's because I placed the engine in a wrong way.
But it doesn't seem to help if I align them properly.
Another thing is a very short looped music track. 10-30 more seconds with some variety of patterns would make it loop less seemingly. But this exact short part is good; it's just easy to notice that it loops a lot.
Other than that, this idea is brilliant. I player 3 runs and I would play some more if not this rotation thing. xD
This is not the first game to interpret the limited space as a "limited space inside your space vessel", but this is the first time I had to manually put stuff on the ship.
The tutorial section is good. It gives you some time to get comfortable with controls (which you won't due to the rotation lol) and only after that it sends some enemies.
Music for very repetitive, but nice riff.
I had a very wide ship with lots of canons
Overall very nice job

It didn't take long to completely obscure the ship so that I didn't know where the front was, but by that time the ship was a porcupine of laser guns so all good! :-)
The art style works well, the sound effects are effective, and the gameplay works!
Unbeatable space dildo! But I guess the wave counter is somehow stuck, I'm still on 2nd wave but there already were a lot of alien waves. Anyway, it's fun concept. I like building my own ship. After some time I cannot be beated so I'm just flying around and killing stuff. But if was fun! :)
