Nightly Delivery by Frankey333

Welcome, kitty-reaper! You have one night to deliver as many packages as you kittily can. But beware! With paws this cute, the amount of things you can carry is greatly limited, and you couldn't possibly throw out your trusty scythe or you pet firefly! Nightly delivery is a game where you try to fit as many things as possible into your inventory and deliver them to their recipients.
How to play
Frankey will add the webgl on here tonight. In the meantime, please, visit itch.io if you'd like to play our game in browser. Otherwise download it for Windows below to play in FullHD and get the full experience of Lapin's art.

Credits
Almost everything you can see was drawn by Lapin using Clip Studio Paint 2.0
Frankey made it all work using Unity 2021.3.6f1 , sound nice with Bosca Ceoil and added sfx using sfxr
The gameplay and design was a collaborative effort between both of us.

GG :D
Well done for all the hand-drawn assets :o
Only suggestion would be to make it clear whether each person wants a delivery, or has another item for me to deliver. But maybe leaving it ambiguous was intentional.
- The movement side of the game felt like it could've just been swapped out for a timer, since all it really represented in practice was holding a button down until you reach the destination. I'd suggest either swap the WSAD movement out for a simple timer (or have the player just zip to their destination, counting the time down accordingly), or have some movement challenges.
- Giving the player a reason to interact with the inventory tetris while you walk, somehow, would help make the game feel less like waiting a while between little bursts of inventory management between missions.
- I liked the mood & the player character is great! Would be interested to see how the character could help support the inventory tetris game mechanics, aside from having matching items.
Lovely stuff :)
@deruitda Do you mean that the orange highlight is too subtle, or that you can't tell who wants what? If I had more time, I would consider drawing tiny versions of all the items to put in the arrows which could help the second issue.
@falestress Thank you! I am glad you enjoy my designs <3
@ascenial Thank you! We made the kitty a bit faster to decrease the pain of traveling. I hope this makes the game more pleasant for you too <3
@ralian Thank you so much! The quest givers have orange indicators and the item receivers have blue indicators. I hope this helps.
@robbobin So much feedback, wow! Thanks!
* I am glad you like my art <3
* Yeah, we have speed up the kitty to make the running part of the game a bit speedier.
* Actually, you can still interact with it while you travel, so you can use the travel time to rearrange your inventory.
* Yes, in the future, it'd be great if the kitty could maybe pick up improvements for the inventory. We were also considering allowing the kitty to toss her pet to make a bit more room at the cost of not being able to see. But in the end, we decided against it.
-Everything is too far away, moving is straight forward, and yet it takes most of the time.
-Even if I know the direction of the delivery, I have no sense of distance (like a distance meter under the icon), which makes it really hard to make decisions like taking a bunch of requests or just delivering the one I have.
Nice Job!
