The sounds did grate after a few levels, and I'd recommend looking into some simple tricks around modulating sounds that play frequently, so they sound slightly different but don't require multiple files. I did appreciate the animations as well, but especially for a movement-heavy game, I'd think about tightening the timing, so the player feels like they can execute their strategy at the same speed they come up with it.
