As usual, that was super fun and polished!

I had a lot of fun, beat it in 13:07. I was op at the end and had full health at 20 so was able to just spam kill the boss!

Wow, it's always great to see the games you guys produce!! I think it's inspiring how you can make a game work with such a simple, single mechanic (It Was All For The Tuna, Deepest Sword, THIS) -- and this one hasn't been any exception to that. I do have one or two critiques, mainly to do with the *health management.*

While the wall building mechanic was fun to mess around with, in the context of the game, and the punishment of building one in the wrong place, it makes health less easy to work with than I feel it could be... At the beginning of each round it feels as though it's impossible not to take damage with how many enemies there are in your way, and then by the end of it it's so easy not to take damage that there's no real threat to be had -- which isn't a problem by any means, but the way your lost health piles on over time makes it hard to deal with. I didn't beat the game, but I got to the final wave with only 5 or 6 health of my 30, because every battle before that I'd have to sacrifice health to get past the first brunt of enemies, and be left without a way to regenerate it (other than the occasional health based upgrades which were *fantastic,* if not a little too hard to go without for a random chance heal)

The mood of the game felt as though I was supposed to be taking it fast like a bullet hell, but because health management stopped me from rushing enemies, the best strategy was to wait around until one wandered into a corner -- and reading your description makes it sound like that's what you were going for, but with how many enemies there are, and the way the music and detonations contrast against that threw me off a little bit.

Other than that, I really enjoyed it, like everything you all put together! Most of my issues with it were really just because of the games that *I specifically* play, taking some lessons from there to this different genre. The art was lovable, the mechanics easy to grasp, the music well produced; I just had one or two problems to address, but it was amazing overall!

(sorry to come in with another paragraph of critiques, I hope my feedback is helpful! :S)

Very nice, I like how a single mechanic can have so much depth. Was a nice slow progression curve too, I didn't feel too powerful until right near the end, I could pretty much spam walls because I could build and blow them up so fast. Fun game!

I beat it in just over 7 minutes!

Yeah, it's you guys again! I was worried for a moment that you weren't making an entry for this LD jam! I've loved every single one of the games you've made, especially Deepest Sword!

The music is really good and addictive to listen to. I'm not surprised you made it a rogue-like, when I saw the choice of 3 cards, I was delighted! It took a little while to get used to. I like how clear it is that the wall spell failed and rebounds to hurt you.

So far the only game in the jam that I've played until completion. It's really, very good! Another 5/5, you've smashed it out of the park yet again!

Cool game, love the art and graphic style and the UI is the best out of all the games I've seen, a very polished game

Very unique mechanics! It took me a bit to get into it, but great fun afterwards! Would be nice to start with a bit smaller levels maybe.

Tons of polish for a jam game, the art and music is well done, and a pretty fun gameplay loop. Nice twist on a classic game. I managed to kill the wizard but ended up dying to a slime in the same level rip

One of the most fun games I played so far. Finished with 1HP only so it was quite intense! Sometimes I was trying to make the wall "go BOOM" and instead I placed a new one, causing me to lose a few health points, which was mildly annoying... Sound and art are superb. Really nice game!

Awesome entry. Very cool to see how you took the theme and really changed it into a cool, fun idea.

You added some nice touches here, being able to jump on the walls. Having it so you could detonate part of the wall early. Awesome to see what you could accomplish with so little time!

Seems like a great concept for a full game too.

Great entry.
The music was cool, and the gameplay was solid. the art was a bit mish-mashed, but that happens in a jam.

thanks!

Good game congratz :)

The music it really nice and the attack of the player is quite unique. I felt the controls for the character were pretty slow at first but that's because of the bonuses you can have

This game was super fun! I had a great time with it! You could def get into some sticky situations where you couldn't make any walls safely but it was still very fun! I do think the screen shaking was a bit excessive, gave me a bit of motion sickness sometimes haha, but great job!

this is a really cool submission! We definitely discussed jezzball early on in ideation, so I'm glad to see someone fully implement a modern twist for this jam!

I didn't expected the roguelite elements! The game was fun, the only thing I would change is the environment that was a bit boring. Also, the slimes were a bit too easy to kill imho. Other than that, good job!

Cool entry! I like the divide and conquer aspect. At first it was a bit unintuitive that blowing up the walls didn't damage you, but once I understood that I was quickly into it. The upgrades are a nice touch, I liked the icons. The animation of the blobs are nice, the overall look and feel as well.
