Welcome to the harsh and desolate world of "Capitalist vs. Zombies," where survival depends on your ability to navigate the ruins of a once-thriving civilization and outsmart the undead hordes with your wits and business acumen.

In a post-apocalyptic landscape, humanity is on the brink of extinction due to a zombie outbreak. The remnants of society are now a playground for the undead, and only those with a keen understanding of capitalism can rise above the chaos.

Be ready to rise from the ashes of civilization and prove that in the battle between capitalism and the undead, the savvy survivor with a killer instinct for business will always come out on top.

May your profits be high and your brains remain uneaten.

Gameplay explanations

This game is a simple Vampire Survior like. Upgrade your weapons and navigate accurately to defeat the hordes of enemies that will come.

The space you can manoeuvre in is limited and must be bought. To reach the later stages of the game, you will need to invest that space, gaining gold but limiting movements.!

It took me time to see I could rent my land. I was a greedy businessman and rent too much lands !!
I think you should continue after the jam to improve the game, it's a good vampire survivor improvement and it has a potential

Very cool idea! I feel like with a few tweaks to money gain and polish this could be something great.

I like the title and the idea. It was a bit too hard for me, though.
The concept is funny and I liked the idea of fighting a Zombie apokalypse by night and buying ground at day.

I could last till night 10. I realised too late that I have to use the renting mechanism, and the waves got too hard while all I could afford by then is refilling my health. However I didn't give up, tried again, so that means you found a really good idea. :)
Maybe the day night switch could be a bit more immersive, more subtle. Thanks for making this game, enjoyed! :) Keep it up!

This is such a fun game to play with! I genuinely stressed out when hordes of zombies and armored knights circle you and there's no way to run. Great job on creating such an enjoyable entry!

Title is great, and I like the twist of buying space in this type of game (and renting is a really good way to mix things up). Pretty fun trying to balance upgrades vs healing vs buying more room to move. Nice job!

Amazing game done in 3 days only ! There so much in it.

I found the balance a bit weird though, renting a lot, but not earning enough money for real upgrades.
I feel like it would be better with more focus on renting mechanic (which is genius considering the theme) and less on difficulty progression that can be a real pain to balance properly.

Some sound design on shooting, hurting zombies, or menuing would be nice too !

Really impressive work !

(Tip : To avoid blurry pixel art assets, you should set the sprite "filter mode" to "Point (no filter)")

Very impressive for something done in 3 days. I had a lot of fun and I love the combination of strategy and survival. Maybe the enemies shouldn't gather if you go hiding in corner, cause it makes it a bit easy to blast them all. Great game, congrats!

This is a very addictive game! I've spend quite some time trying to bean my previous run. I feel like sometimes difficulty spikes quite harsh leaving no space for mistakes.
Well done!

Very cool game, played it now multiple times because I wanted to find out the best strategy to survive long - made until night 16 oder 17 but it gets really tough. Really cool idea with buying ground and renting it. Also fitting music. I had the feeling the player gets sometimes stuck at the borders. But anyway, very good work!

It took me forever to figure out how to rent land, which is the main unique mechanic - a game changer - which makes it a very interesting risk vs reward decision! Very clever! Nice!

This reminds me of older flash games that I'd play on armorgames or kongregate, which is awesome! A solid entry and great textures, mood and gameplay.

Loved this concept! It really shows the power of compounding wealth.

The music kept me on my toes! The pacing of the game was really on point.

I enjoyed the game way more than I initially thought I would, and ended up playing several times.

Loved this game! Really like the renting mechanic, really is a great greed test! Keep going with this, a bit more polish and it could be an awesome full game :)

I like how you mixed the roguelike genre with some kind of management/strategy part. Pretty cool and it has a measurable impact on the gameplay. I also appreciated the depth of the game: multiple weapons, upgrades and enemies extend its longevity.
A downside for me was the excessive grinding: I feel like it takes too much time and effort to make money, since I couldn't even afford the third weapons without heavily sacrificing the space. It's not a big deal, but personally I'd have gone with an easier "grinding curve", considering the average playtime for a jam game.
Overall, I genuinely had fun and I think the concept has potential! Kudos to the team!
