Our hero is a person who didn't take a shopping cart when he had the chance and now is too proud to return to the starting point. Now he accepts the consequences of his choice.

He has a shopping list but his storage is now LIMITED SPACE (same as the Ludum Dare topic, wow?).

He is left with his hand and two pockets, along with a big shopping list.

Advance through the aisles, run pass other customers, make work for the janitor, and make this day worth remembering. Best of luck shoppers!

That's funny! Very similar to my trips to the store

It's a fun game, although I was never in this situation, I can definitely relate having... LIMITED SPACE when going to the grocery store.
With a little more sound feedback and snapiness with the movements, it would make the game even more fun! Great job with it though, you did well :)

The art style is great, sadly I got stuck at the first step :v
I stepped on top of the quest mark and nothing happened, walked around the shop and came back to the quest mark and still nothing.
Inventory screenshot looks too good, I would like to look at that fish over and over ;D

Took me a few attempts to get the first shelf to respond, and I swear I could have jammed the chilli and the fish into the same pocket - honest! XD
Nice work :).

the game is good but there are control problems because the floor seems to be smeared with something and you don't always confuse where the objects are located and the trigger works instantly even if you didn't want to go there wide hitboxes otherwise the game is nice

Firstly, you already made me laugh in your game description with:

> Have you ever been in the place of our protagonist?

> No? It’s not a game about you then.

Besides that, this is a really polished game and a pretty good representation of how the supermarket is whenever you are in a hurry. Just a million people pushing their trolley in the way and blocking your path constantly. The idea of a 1.4kb shopping list also terrifies me.

Overall, this is a really well made and funny game with great animations and a good game feel! Well done.

Really funny game!! Nice pixel art :) I was initially perplexed that I wasn't able to fit all items at once, thought I was doing something wrong haha.

It was funny! I don’t know if it was on purpose, but it also seemed like the hero was drunk when he skidded around the corners. The atmosphere of going to the store is conveyed correctly. The only thing is, at first it was difficult to figure out where to go and what to do. At least a small tutorial in some form wouldn't hurt. But overall great job!

Graphics and theme are on point. That first check point for the tutorial I had to run into it several times before it finally triggered. I also couldn't make it full screen. Otherwise it was fun and I would have loved multiple levels of this. I think it would have been more satisfying if you could actually get everything in one trip, and things like the roll and the fish were curved so you could put something in the middle of them.

What a great sense of humor! I definitely experienced this way too often.

The indicators are a bit vague, I thought I should run over them. Took me some time until I noticed they point to the items below them.

I think the game could be more interesting with more unusual "pocket grids", something that is not a classic NxM grid but is triangular or so. Paired with weird item shapes, it would be more interesting to balance the inventory.

Also, where did the guy put his phone? It's not in the pockets nor in his hands, did he drop it onto the floor? :)

It was great fun to see all those people with shopping carts running around, and I loved the chaos! The idea fits the theme very well. The graphics and animations are great too, it was really funny to be followed by this annoyed cleaner hahah

As for possible improvements, it's true that it's difficult to trigger the windows with the foods. Without reading the comments below the game, I wouldn't have understood what to do. And I'd like to be able to go faster with the character (but maybe that's precisely the point of him moving slowly through the chaos? ... or my computer is lagging a bit). And maybe add a time challenge, to spice things up a bit?

Anyway, good job, you've put in a lot of work, it shows :)!

Great job on the pixel art, I like the physics based movement too, at least I assume that's how it's done based on the way the customer trollies push you around, it adds a feel of urgency.

That was funny! I like how I thought in the tutorial that the movement was tedious, but it actually added to the experience xD

Hey, this is a fun concept for the theme! I enjoyed it, especially the art and the animations. The game really looks amazing :)
The only thing I would criticise is the fact that there is not really too much of a challenge in the game. There is no time pressure or other mechanic, e.g. a score that increases the faster you gather all items. With this as an addition, it would make for a perfect (and potentially a bit ragey) game in my opinion :D

Very creative idea and really fun game! I like how there's two (or more?) meanings for limited space XD Just one suggestion, think not allowing infinite trips to the cashier and making it so you have to fit things in the pockets adequatly would make it more challenging!

Nice little game overall. I especially liked the graphics. The player felt a bit hard to control at points, but maybe that was intentional? Either way, great job!

Nice game overall. Weirdly enough I don't think I've actually seen many games that are limited inventory space. Good job and congrats on the game!

Cool concept. Great soundtrack and the dialogue was quite funny. The inventory gameplay was cool as well. The player was quite hard to control and the collisions felt a bit harsh at times. But overall, well done!

PLEASE make this a full game. It's so innovative concept (at least to me it seems) and although there is some degree of replayability, I want more! I feel like everything in this game is so good and polished, but the focus on the storyline maybe hindered the developement of some more "mechanics" or "levels". Doesn't mean there shouldn't be a story, but I myself would try to incorporate that in post-jam version and focus more on the playable part of the game.

P.S.: that 100MB file got me chuckle

Kind of reminds me of the TV show supermarket sweep. I did expect a bunch of inventory management game in this jam, but you put a little bit of a twist on it. As others have stated, being able to go to the cashier multiple times took a bit of the challenge away, but I'd imagine it was easier to design the puzzles this way.

I'm afraid to ask why I was leaving puddles behind...

Hey everyone again. Thank you kindly for your feedback on the project. We are so glad that you liked this minimum what the game was able to offer you. Your positive impressions on the game definitively made us potentially look into a possibly of considering a situation in which there is a probability that we might, at some point, be working on a possible more polished iteration for future, yet not planned, version of the game, after the jam. However, please note that not a single reliable promise was given here.

Thank you for your support and love. Catch our love back too <3

Very cool project! Excellent use of the theme, good humor, and wonderful graphics!

It's great that you have implemented many mechanics. Perhaps there's a need for some kind of time constraint (for example time until the store closes) for some extra-challenge.

Also the target markers look like markings on the floor, and I didn't realize at first that they actually appear above the shelves.

Anyway, a perfect game jam submission!

I just finished playing Dredge, so I have experience in stacking things in a tile-based inventory :)

Really funny game and great take on the theme!
Even if he has LIMITED SPACE, those pocket can hold a good amount of groceries!
