Six Floors Under by maxededo

A puzzle game in which you play as a wolf assassin who must take out his target while on a crowded elevator. The hit must be finished before the elevator hits the ground floor and the target slips out of his grasp forever. To avoid getting caught, the wolf needs to manipulate the other people on the elevator so that none of them see the corpse of the target once the act has been completed.

*Upon viewing the only set of LD rules we could find, we found rules that bug fixes which only corrected existing mistakes and did not add content to the game were allowed post-submission, but those rules were old and we are aware they may be outdated. As such, we have uploaded two versions of the game: Build_v1.1 which is our original submission before the deadline, and the LDBugFix version, which was added one day late but contains bug fixes on our original build. Any further additions we make to this game will not be added to the versions uploaded here.

Guide:
Bystander Sheep: can be pushed or turned
Big Guy Crocodile: can be turned but not pushed
Fish Operator: can't be turned or pushed
Toll Troll: can only be killed

A little time spent introducing and directing the player and this would have been really nice.
If you were to expand upon the concept, I'd love to see the NPC attributes expanded upon so there's more opportunity for interaction between the characters. In my opinion, I think that would help to draw some of that focus back to the puzzle solving aspect of the game. Maybe the crocodile eats any lamb which it is facing directly after "x" amount of moves... something of that sort!
Overall, this is a good concept, and one well executed. Definitely a game I'd enjoy playing more. Great work!
also when the panda guy said "your next mission will be arriving soon" i kept reading it as the assassin being tasked with arriving soon, like he was being scolded for his punctuality.
and the music is bangin gosh golly.
The game is neat though, I like the art and the music, and it works smoothly. TV Panda looks menacing.
Unsure about the theme - yes, the lift is small, but the space limitation is not part of the game mechanics, it's just there.
I am in love with pixels btw, so I really liked your pixelart guys, the UI was also another great thing COMPLETELY PROFESSIONAL, congratulations!
Here's the VOD on YouTube to watch the gameplay, just skip to your chapter on the video!

Some slight tweaks could make it much more enjoyable, but regardless, you did a phenomenal job! The different types of bystanders and the design of each level was very well thought out, and the audio and graphics are super nice. Great work!
Also regarding rules, it is allowed to make bugfixes, but something like adding a tutorial isn't. I understand you're providing the original version as a download, but the itch.io version is what most people are going to play, so IMO the itch version should be the original one, and if anything, the extra things can be added to a download.
Overall though, I think you delivered a pretty well-rounded game with a satisfying amount of content and polish. Definitely a strong entry, so thanks again!
Thanks! I really tried to make the music change get that "flashbang" effect with the muted and detuned audio, glad you enjoyed it!
