Retreat - The Reckless Move by Komradus
Survive by any means necessary...
The town is under attack and you need to get right out of there.
Your power of clearing the way will help keep you alive long enough to find your briefcase, and escape.
Though you may have forgotten where you live...but it's definitely in one of these houses.

Critical Performance Patch v0.0.1
Due to poor graphical performance, I've made a small patch to the game to try and improve that. NO CHANGES TO GAMEPLAY WERE MADE.
- Removed the mostly unseen "falling leaves" particle effect.
- Reduced the amount of particles being spawned for projectile-related effects and events.
- Slightly reduced the quality of the light ray effect.
- Lowered the number of spawned houses & trees by 1 iteration.
- Corrected a bug that could, on rare occasions, cause the briefcase to never spawn.
- Increased the light produced by the briefcase, to make it easier to spot.
I hope that's still alright for the compo, the download links now point to the patched version of the game. But the original builds are still available at the "Original Version" link.

This has been my biggest project yet, and as such there were a lot of things that I didn't get a chance to implement.
Most glaring would be a restart feature...sorry everyone, you'll need to restart the game to play again.
Created with Unity, Inkscape, Paint.net, Sunvox, and Bfxr. Big thanks to those that made these awesome tools!

The particle effects for the projectile seemed a bit distracting and unnecessary to me. Also the objective of finding the blue briefcase was one that I could never seem to accomplish. It seems like it needs some sort of mini map or something so I know where I have been.
Anyway this was a solid entry, great work!
I can't find any bleu briefcase so I haven't got the objective done.
I don't understand what is the thing in the sky that lauch cannon shots to you.
Also, am I a monster? I don't really understand it, but I quite like it anyway. Good job! :D
Too bad the UFO's shooting is so random that you can spend 10 min mass murdering innocent-looking people without a care for the bombings.
The briefcase is a lie !! Or is it ?
Great example of Minimum Viable Product at work.
Not much in Innovation but really fun to just destroy stuff.
Performance dipped at times on my machine but it was bearable. The particle effect was a little gratuitous, but the rest of the graphics were on-point.
The graphics and physics were good. They made you really feel like in the middle of chaos.
