Devolved by benjamin

LLoyd is probably the last human on earth and his brain is totally degenerated. As the only brain cell left please help him survive.
/!\ This game is not safe for work! Lloyd does not have pants.
Gameplay
- Activate white command blocks in the brain to make Lloyd move, jump, breath etc
- New meters will pop up when you progress in the level
- If you lack oxygen or water Lloyd will take damage until he dies
- There's an happy ending, but not easy to reach ( see hints )
Brain Cell Control
- Left / Right : Walk / Climb
- X : Jump
- C : Activate nearby command blocks
- V : Hold to take or drop blocks
Hints
The game is hard, especially because I had no time to add special explanations about how to prevent some dangers. Here's somme additional hints you could use to reach the end of the game :
- You can scream by just opening your mouth. You'll have to close your mouth if you want to scream again.
- The crow can be scared by your screams.
- In order to breath in you must first expel co2 by breathing out.
- You can drink by standing in water and opening mouth.
- The bounding box for taking object is kinda small right now, please place yourself accordingly
Devolved was made entirely in 72 hours for Ludum Dare #54! Benjamin Soulé did the design, code, graphics and sound effects, Pentadrangle made the original soundtrack, and Rémy Devaux did a bit of extra code and wrote the ending! (Rémy also made a solo game for the 48h compo category, check out Hexle!)

Fix on 03/10: In accordance to the Ludum Dare rules, we fixed a bug that let you make brain blocks disappear, which made the game unplayable.

Also, I think I encountered a bug where if you're in build mode and you try placing it too close to the brain cell, it just disappears and you can't reselect it.
Now some things I noticed:
-the title music doesn't loop and just abruptly stops...
-that's about it actually, very fun game!
First off the concept is very unique and creative and the art and music is also great, including the intro (pls, if you could, tell me what palette you used, I am curious) but as you already know and as some people have mentioned, it is rather hard to get used to the mechanics and to react to dangers
W - jump
A - move left
D - move right
S - energize
B - build
got to the part where you had to crawl ( didnt get the gene ) and kind of lost from losing water ( I think ) :D
[spoiler] love that you can jump out of the brain :D
It can get really complicated with this guy... and I wonder what happened to his trousers...
Nice entry! Grats!
Apart from that, I liked the concept, and I like the details (like the neuron leak)
As it's a bit difficult, especially when you have to manage oxygen, I think checkpoints would be a good idea: I really wanted to finish the game, but since I got mauled by a raven later (which killed me instantly, with full-life, maybe it's a bug) redoing the whole path with the brain organization would take me too much time/energy to do it...
Is there a way to go to the main/exit menu from within a run? The esc/backspace menu only has a back button.
