Detachment Undone by Gossioss

An updated version of a previous LD game, submitted as an Extra as it technically took the last couple of months to make rather than the last week or so. Feedback would be greatly appreciated!
For context, it's a casual game about the 10 stages of genocide.
Music by @francesco
NB: Works better if you have a touch screen, but mouse is also fine!
HOW TO PLAY
Drag and drop opposite pieces onto each other to make Groups. Drag Groups onto other pieces or Groups to make larger Groups.
P to pause the game. G to access the guide.
Some levels have "traps". These affect either "victim" or "perpetrator" pieces when the pieces float over them.
Each trap has a different effect.
When a piece is affected by a trap, it cannot be merged to form a Group.
Some affected pieces destroy or teleport other pieces.
Affected pieces can only be "freed" by Groups or by perpetrator pieces.
Traps can be destroyed by Group or perpetrator pieces. Each piece and group level varies in how much damage they cause and their countdown between attacks - larger groups cause more damage and have no or short countdowns.
Win each level by creating one large super-group and destroying all the traps.
You lose a level if it becomes impossible to win.

really well done.
Quick feedbac: -sometimes when you drop a "blob" on another one it doesn't merge (just push it away) (using a mouse), it can be a bit frustrating.
-Maybe add a small video to introduce a new mechanics or a new blob, because it was a bit messy for me (non english native speaker)
Great job
As Alexis said, sometime when you use the mouse the blobs fail to merge. The music and background made the game mood to be trippy, very interesting!
I'm not sure if it technically qualifies even as extra, as it took more than 3 weeks to complete, but ok.
- Game is not challenging at all.
- Game design is unfocused; is it about click reflexes? is it about strategy and thought? Is it about discovering the rules? Is it aobut conveying a narrative? Pick one and do it well, and smooth out everything else. Seems like you're just forcing some narrative/story/abstract conclusion into the game mechanics, and that's why they are not fun.
After playing a while, the strategy was to merge 2 pieces and then going with this big piece gathering the others. If you want to emphasize the opposites I would make match all whites an blacks first through gameplay.
