It's a really cool game, with amazing graphics and sound, but it could follow the theme better.

Cool game, i love the idea of icecream summoning - its also a good size of work for a gamejam game, its well executet and i loved the differen ice balls :3 Even tho after it became "day" 3 i hardly ever got any right combination x.x but thats a me issue, game worked without bugs, well done!

I was surprised that fewer peopled tried something with drawing out summoning circles. However, in this case I got to the third stage and the first time I had to draw the pride symbol, it worked, but on the second time I needed pride, I just couldn't get it to recognise the gesture, which was a little more sensitive than I realise.

I do like the concept and the art is pretty neat too though.

Fun, great tutorial included and I enjoyed drawing and the humor. Funnily enough, the hardest one to draw was Sloth :P

A very complete game. I've tried several draw-to-summon games, and yours is the most unique. I love this one.

Neat concept. Drawing "Wrath" almost invoked it in me!! Really enjoyed playing the game. Congratulations to the team.

Love the gesture control and the ice cream is a funny idea. I also like how the difficulty increases and the key words are not highlighted anymore.

Absolutely fantastic entry. This would be fantastic as a stylus game on a DS or similar.

I love how you dont need to draw the whole shape, just similar enought xD, i shortcut all the symbols xD

Really fantastic game, my only comments are that I think it should have stopped highlighting the relevant sections before the final challenge as before that the difficulty felt a little flat, and the pentagram was really hard to draw for me for some reason. I really enjoyed the gameplay of deducing the sins, the art was great, and the music was catchy. Overall great job :)

The game kept misreading gluttony as greed, but thankfully pressing "clear" only gets rid of the top scoop of ice cream. I enjoyed the visuals and the cute ice cream scoops for each sin!

Great concept & execution! Loved the graphical style, music & humor. I was a little confused on why I got the last two wrong though.

I loved this, it's so charming! The upbeat jazzy track hit the tone of the game so well and had me dancing in my seat, and I really enjoyed drawing out the gestures to summon the ice cream.

The whole tone of the game had me smiling and overall it was very fun :)

Also, IGA represent!!

This is probably one of the funniest submissions I've played, with a banging track in the background. Also, the gesture system is amazing (using a trackball worked great!)

The game is incredibly gorgeous!

I think it becomes a lot more interesting once the text stops marking itself in red. I would have liked to see this happen earlier.

Great job on the game!

Really interesting excution on making ice cream to do soul judgement! However, I random draw a line and always got Greedy. Is this fortune telling or sth? Anyway, GOOD JOB!!!

Wow, this was a very fun and polished game. It was fun trying to figure out what to draw, and the ice cream falling was pleasant. Thanks for making this game.

Such a fantastic game! The art style is captivating, and the mechanics are flawless. Who would've thought we'd find ice cream in hell?

Great take! Everything feels really polished as well from art to sound. I'm happy the highlighted words got removed for the final challenge as I think they make things a bit too obvious (for the tutorial they're great though). Fun!

Your team did a great job, the graphics, audio, and gameplay are all very cool :D I had some slight problems with the drawing mechanic ("unrecognized gesture" when i felt like it should've recognized what I was doing, or somehow getting "sloth" when drawing "gluttony" o_O), but stuff like that is to be expected from a game jam entry. Nicely done, following to see more of your team!

Super cute game! Loved the general polish, the different visuals for each ice cream type, the little magic wand, the dialogue sounds, and the music. Only two nitpicks that I have seen in comments above too: the sign recognition was a bit iffy at times, my "gluttony" especially kept getting recognized as "greed"; and I think it would have been better if the text already wasn't highlighted in red during the second day. Props to the team!

The game was awesome! The art, UI, dialogue and sound created a perfect ensemble. Difficulty scaled up nicely too!
I had a little trouble getting the game to recognize the symbol for pride, but appart from that I did not run into any trouble. Really, really impressed!

Interesting premise, unique gameplay based on analysis of words. The thing I suck at is drawing the pride symbol.

This game is really good! It's a creative and unique yet a faithful take on the theme. I actually played until the end and only got one ice cream wrong. The art, music, gameplay and execution are all fantastic. I wish it would be a bit more challenging, but I had a lot of fun playing. Congrats!

It is a great idea, and the look & feel are amazing. The mechanics are interesting and original, but they lack a bit of fun and challenge. I would love to see this in a different context that requires more deduction and faster response. Great job!

Incredible entry! I loved it from top to bottom - the creepy graphics, the music, and especially the gameplay. Analyzing these sentences and the n drawing different symbols to summon the ice scoops is just great!

To me, this would be a great casual game that one could play from time to time. Overall, one of top games this LD Jam!

Icecream to represent sins is such a funky idea that I’d never expect to work, but totally does! I love the difficulty modifiers that appear in later levels :heart:

Yay I got fired and escaped capitalism !
This entry is very ambitious. Many things are very well made and are very cohesive. Congratulation !
I see two main problems for this game which you are probably well aware of : first the character recognition, which is a bit hazardous (I know why, don't worry), but when playing I was more worried that my character wouldn't get recognized rather that getting the interpretation of the message wrong; and second, the pacing is not right, making the game lacking in the fun department (We have the same problem in our game, lol : hard learned lesson, "puzzle" games needs to either have interesting puzzles, or not be all about puzzles).
Anyway, these are kind of knit picks considering the quality of your production !

20. Apr 2024 · 08:42 UTC
Dang this is good. I sorta wish the text at the top didn't vanish and that I could scribble out multiple symbols in rapid succession and drop the ice cream faster. I know that's not what you were all going for but all I'm saying is your game is so damn JUICY! Everything is very cohesive. The art is cute, the different ice creams are entertaining, the way the drawing feels, the music, even the page background... it's just a very nice little package and I enjoyed unwrapping it. Thanks and congrats!

my favourite ice cream is the eyes cream. fun game, but I suck at drawing pentagons and for some reason my wrath was usually confused for lust.

Honestly one of the best games I've played during a Ludum Dare. Like, all of them.

I loved the difficulty progression, the symbol detection sometimes got my drawings wrong but that was only until I noticed you could draw your shapes in any rotation so pride for example could be a right side up pentagram and still count. Audio was great, graphics were _fantastic_ (excellent use of particles btw :D ) and gameplay overall was incredibly fun. I kind of want to speedrun this game. I don't know why. But keep it up.

The game reveals all its interest after having passed "level 2" and gains in difficulty!

The graphics are very beautiful and the music fits well with the atmosphere of the game.

I had a great time on it.

Very cool entry! I had some trouble having the signal recognized, but it's very well done for being made for a jam entry. The audio and visuals tie it all together, and the general vibe and execution is very good. Nice work!

### Another Ludum Dare wrapped up! Thank you everyone for playing and leaving comments. We tried to play as many of your games as we could. We look forward to seeing y'all in Ludum Dare 56! ###

@XRy Thanks!

@mibi88 Fair enough, thanks!

@thoastbot Yeah i guess it might be a bit difficult unless you're familiar with the seven deadly sins. Thanks for playing and the kind words :)

@argensis Yeah the drawing part of the game was the weakest part, lots of people had trouble. A valuable lesson for next time! Thanks for playing and the compliments!

@srslie Hard to be a sloth these days haha, Thanks for playing!

@patrick-pang Thank you very much! We worked hard to polish it as much as possible in the final moments of the jam.

@beauchama Thanks!

@rokadoka Thank you very much! The team is pleased with the outcome for sure :)

@burnttoastdev Thank you!

@nabil-shelim Thanks a lot!

@mar-zockmeister Thank you very much!

@justin-pena Ohhhh, you're right! I wonder if people are willing to buy a new DS game these days hmmmmm

@kirass Thank you!

@indiemaniac Yup! It converted the drawing into 1's and 0's and then compared the string to a master-string. Therefore, you only need to draw "close enough" :P

@drainkid You're right! For the post-jam version we're changing that. It will stop highlighting sooner, thanks for the suggestion :)

@captainspacecat Thanks for playing! Sorry you had a bit of trouble with it...

@james-greenleaf I think there might've been a error in the answers for one of the ice creams. For the post jam version we'll fix that, thanks for catching it!

@happyhour Thank you very much!

@ariyaassa Thank you thank you! Shoutout to IGA! :)

@tess-winlock Thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it

@loveschach You're right! For the post jam version we'll stop highlighting the text earlier. Thanks for the feedback and im glad you loved the art. The artist was hard at work the entire weekened drawing ice cream and stuff :D

@memnarch Thank you very much!

@kawakhwan Haha unfortunately there's nothing sinister going on under the hood. A simple comparison between what you drew and the master-copy. OR IS THERE?! >:]

@dywanix Thank you very much! Sorry for the slight hiccups with the drawing recognition.

@paulhocker Thanks! We tried to polish it as much as possible :)

@senso Thank you very much! Construct users unite :D

@silkworm-sweatshop What a lovely username you have haha. Thanks for the kind words and im glad you enjoyed!

@dekisenpaitm Thank you thank you!

@orbitaldot Thank you very much! It was out first time working together and i think it worked out wonderfully!

@citsua Thanks for all the feedback, we will be implementing some fixes as a post-jam version after the rating period. Thanks for playing and im glad you liked it.

@gwethelynn Thank you very much! Sorry for the sometimes-wrong drawing recognition :P

@moonlightbomber I was surprised by how hard it is to draw a star upside down. Thanks for playing tho!

@aviv-levy Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it :)

@bumblebee-studios Interesting ideas! We'll see if we can go more towards that direction for the post-jam version! Thanks for the feedback and compliments!

@sn4pi Thank you very much! We worked very hard on it, glad it paid off!

@justcamh Was a blast to hang out in the chat while you played! Thanks for checking it out :)

@tomtomgome Amibitious?! You're too kind! Thank you very much for the kind words.

@moist-salt Thanks!

@sonnybone Thanks for the suggestion! We're going to implement that in the post-jam version after the ratings appear :) Glad you enjoyed it otherwise!

@timo654 Drawing the star upside down was brutal for me too :P

@nadia-pixel Thanks! Yeah its possible it would've been better off with a timer. Something to consider for next time.

@deformhead Thank you!

@initialposition A legend in the comment section! Thank you very much for the kind words. Im glad you enjoyed it and saw the glorious particles. Onto the next Ludum where we explore particles even further haha

@pierre-cilluffo Yeah it gets pretty difficult once the highlighting stops. Thank you very much for the kind words!

@hacksawunit Yeah the drawing recognition certainly isnt world-class, but it was the best we could do in such a short time. Thanks for playing and thanks for the compliments :D

@dalloner Haha thank you very much!
