Shamans: saviors of the world by EasyLuckyGem

[raw]
made by EasyLuckyGem for Ludum Dare 55 (JAM)

The world is on the brink of destruction! The balance of the elements is disturbed, and only true shamans can restore it! Praise each of the elements with your ritual dances and save the world!

Summon the Spirits! 4_.png

Meet our shamans 124638.png

And their world-saving show! 12112.gif

You have very little time, so your dance must be coordinated! Use WASD when the corresponding glyphs appear! For flawless actions, the gods will reward you with a COMBO, which will help calm the elements faster!

Good luck and have fun!

Recommended to play with headphones.

Great art and mind-breaking WASD instead of arrows :D
In my first run, I got A in the right part of the screen and D in the left, which was insane :D

The idea of a rhythm game to make shamans dance is very ingenious. It's a pity that you use QWSD instead of the arrow keys; it makes things very complicated with my French keyboard! But the game is still very nice!

The dancing images are *hilarious*, although you can't watch it while looking at the keys that pop up, so eventually I lost on purpose just to watch the dancing

Great entry, I like the visual, pretty great scenes there even if it lacks a bit of animations in the background maybe. For the gameplay it's too hard for me but I can see how it become very enjoyable once you start getting faster, with the music (that I like a lot) starts to pick up strength. I think if the icons where of arrows instead of the key to press it would be a lot easier for me to play, right now I have lot's of trouble linking the key name to the motion of my fingers. Anyway, it's already pretty cool, keep up the good work!

Really impressive work for such a short timeframe! The visuals and audio work together so well, creating a really engaging atmosphere.

There was a bit too much going on the screen at once to focus very well. Also there are some ways you could probably nudge or help the player get into the feel of the game. A thought I had was if the next input was relative to the last in the same way the keyboard was setup, having to look all over for keys that I don't normally have to think about orientation made me a bit uncomfortable as a gamer.
UI looks awesome for having created it all during the jam.

You guys made a nice rhythm game! The music is fun and the gameplay is nicely balanced between too easy and too hard. A nice entry, good job guys!
