title.png

Spot the diamond in the rough out of 100 contestants and lead them to victory through strategic sponsorships, leadership and a bit of sabotage.

May the odds be ever in your (chosen's) favour!

Description

Every 8 years the countries of the world send their most talented warriors to determine the chosen one to defeat the great evil.

You are a wealthy wizard in search of a worthy warrior to be a patron of. Choose your hero and watch as the bloody battle begins. Keep an eye out for rare items in the shop which can be summoned into the arena to give your hero the edge, or your opponent their demise.

Tip: chanting while summoning items may or may not increase its power

Cool game. It was hard to figure out what to do at first, but in the end, it was fun. Great job!

I had fun playing the game! The fact that other players could also pick up your items makes you think about strategically placing them at the right spots, very interesting mechanice! The shop refreshing constantly makes you think about which item to save in your inventory. I can see this becoming a fun multiplayer game! Good job :D

Was a little laggy for me, but I love the concept of helping out a character you don't control. The randomly-generated names were a great touch too. Solid entry!

This was great! I was cheering for my chosen one the entire time. It took me a little while to realize that I had to drop things from my inventory for them to pick up, but once I got that it was a lot of fun. I think this could work really well as a multiplayer battle royale game, too.

Interesting concept! I found it a little frustrating trying to get the champion to pick up the equipment, but I guess that was the idea.

It was quite laggy for me but I don't care, I loved this. I think it was super creative and is a really interesting take on the theme. In general, I just really dug this game.

It kinda feels like a roguelike battle royal. Love this take on the genre!

You made 'Hunger Games' into a jam game! That's so cool  It's a really unique interpretation of the theme.

The exercise book aesthetics are quite appealing. The game plays well, and I like the fact that those things you buy can be picked up by someone else than your chosen one if you're not careful. Maybe some tooltips with a short item description on mouse-over would be nice. I inadvertently killed my first chosen one with a wolf, as I thought it's a medallion that will give him courage or some such, and it turned out to be a beat that ate him

There are some performance problems on Firefox (on Widows). The game tends to lag.

Anyway, very nice entry! I had fun playing.

Original concept, feels tight and polished, I love the interpretation of the theme. It took me a while to figure out what to do, but once you get it, it's honestly super fun!
