In My Image by Big_Chalupa

Find out what fractured Evelyn's mind
Take a look into the mind of a mother and craftsman who chose to forget something. Summon up memories to uncover the story and find out what led to this intentional repression.
You are the shadow, a deep part of her inner conscience pulling the memories from the depths of her mind. What you uncover, will send the conscious parts of the mind reeling. They had hoped to keep these memories hidden, but sometimes things cannot be forgotten.
How To Play
When in the deep mind
Use WASD for movement
Space to dash
Hold to charge the orb movement
Release to launch the orb towards you
When the indicator below the player is full, press "e" to control the orb
Once the orb has freed enough memories (shown by a globe indicator on the top right) you will bring them back to the others.
During the dialogue portions
Use the space bar to advance the story
Press the button to summon more memories when the voices aren't active
* Avoid being hit by the orb as you summon it *

* Click to advance the story when no one is talking *

@drgcandle Thank you for playing!
@codeman1010 I'm glad you liked the game! Seeing someone play it live on stream is always great for getting feedback with gameplay.
the gameplay to be honest was a bit confusing for me, but I would read a full novel with that preface and so well designed characters, this one being really intriguing

the original angel inspired image, really wanna see what this guy is about
Good job!
@velvetlobster Thank you! It is not the kind of writing I do normally but I had a lot of fun with this story. I wish I had a little more time to invest in writing the dialogue cause it was a lot of fun.
@vphyre Thank you! We had a lot of fun making this one.
@krummsakura Thank you! I had a lot of fun writing this story. It was a deviation from what I normally write but it turned out decent given the time constraints. I am glad you enjoyed it!
@brainbetter @tamara188 @durkagames We struggled a lot trying to balance this mechanic because it either felt too easy or way too hard. We sought the balance and seemed to have landed with it being a little bit too hard The "e" ability and dash were added to help with the balance and is essentially vital to progressing in case you missed that. I hope you still enjoyed and thank you for playing!
I admittedly forgot how to fling the ball. As in, I forgot how to make it go faster but after nailing that down, I realized the string turns redder the stronger it is. I took that to learn the redder it is, the likelihood I'd need to dodge more carefully.
The art was fantastic, the music was ethereal, the characters..oh man..
I thought Will was the father. Once I realized it was the mom, I understood it as that she was too willful and set in her ways to accept her son's choices.
You all knocked it out of the park. I almost want to cry.
@mongoose-59 Thank you for playing! It was a lot of fun to write the story if a little rushed. I do wish I had a little more time to flesh out the characters especially early on. I am glad you enjoyed it!
The gameplay is a little challenging but fun.
But the way you use it is pretty different: I like it!
Mechanics are simple but easy to handle and the story is realy cool. At first, I said to myself: the atmosphere is darker than that of my game but it totally fits your story.
Great work! I was happy to discover your creation! Thank you for this entry!
Also, storywriter, what were you smoking? I want some :)
@flying-butter-studio So glad you guys played our game! Your entry is one of my favorite jam games I have played. I am glad you enjoyed it!
@mnemosynevl Thanks for playing! Story was a product of a lack of sleep and determination, would not recommend smoking that. Definitely very different from what I normally write but it was a lot fun.
I'm glad I went in blind, I feel that discovering what's going on made for a much better atmosphere than reading the synopsis on this page. Maybe you could put that under a spoiler tag?
Very unique and complete entry, bravo!
This was actually a surprisingly fun mechanic! Nice job.
@ditam Really glad you enjoyed the story! It was fun to write.
@coleslaughter Thank you guys! The stream was fun
@jeffez Glad you enjoyed the mood. Definitely wish we had more time to balance the mechanic. Thank you for playing!
@kamizenki Thank you! We wanted to expand that scene originally but stuck with just the button for time. We were going to add more buttons and things to do like a traditional clicker.
@happyglitch That is fair it was a little difficult to see the hands and it could have been balanced better. Thank you for playing!
@orbitaldot Thank you! We were really happy with how the art and mood came out for this one.
