Deep within the ancient forest, a solitary druid sets out on a quest. Armed with ancestral knowledge, they seek rare ingredients to summon animal allies. Through rituals woven with nature's magic, these spirits materialize, guiding the druid through the tangled undergrowth, uncovering secrets, and protecting the woodland realm from harm.

To start great visuals and sound! Just a note, I think something is off about the parallax effect (I think the background is going faster that the foreground? I'm not 100% sure but something feels off). I enjoyed the gameplay great job for only 72 hours!

~~Beautiful background pixel art! Unfortunately I couldn't jump over the first taller obstacle so I couldn't make any progress. Is there a trick I am missing? I'd love to try again. (on a Mac laptop if that's important)~~

I came back and realized you can use the plant below to jump! This was very helpful and I had a great time with the first few levels. So polished for a hackathon!

Love the game and visuals, I really like finding all the different pets. My one suggestion would be to add a note about using the plant to get over the first obstacle as it took me a bit to realize.

Nice game! Really liked the art and atmosphere of this one. It was tricky to understand that you could (and had to) summon a platform to get out of the tutorial area. Some kind of indicator to summon the first plant would be nice. The summons were interesting, collecting their requirements was a neat touch. I wouldn't mind the game showing you exactly how to use each summon you get once, so you don't mess up and accidentally use an elephant when you needed a penguin, like I did at the end of the last level, then have to start over. Music and effects worked really well with the art. Finally, I wouldn't mind if there was some way to activate the platforms instead of having them on cycles. Sometimes I ended up having to wait around for 10ish seconds for a platform to show up. Cool entry, really like the take on the theme here.

@aaronjnc @naomiajacobs @t-c Thank you for the constructive feedback! We added a gif on this page to show how to summon a plant so others may see it and don't have to wonder what to do.

Ultra chill game. Art of the animals is super cute. Would love to have more responisve controls. Charachter a little bit to clanky after you jumped. But I had a nice time playing. Thank you!

Lovely music and pretty art. I enjoyed the concept for this game, it's an interesting take on the puzzle platformer. The controls were a little janky though, and the jump just feels a bit 'off'. That being said, this is excellent for something made in a weekend and I enjoyed playing it. Well done.

This was somehow a really calming game to play. Maybe it's the perfect palette choice and the calm music - I felt like I was really wandering around in the woods. Very nice job. :)

Pretty awesome and deep entry, a lot of mechanics going on to get through the levels. To be honest I had a hard time at first, I was trying to drag and drop the elements from the spell book onto the level. Once I figured out it was a click to select and a click to place it was much better. Also the items in inventory could have been closer to the spell book. Either way you did a great job completing such a complete entry, I had fun so thank you!

Love your visual style, great stylization. Nice music. Clever gameplay mechanics. Probably some platforming tuning required but overall great entry!

Very cute, love the penguin. Encountered a bug where I fell through the floor in the 2nd level but apart from that very polished too. I'd love to see more levels and animals!

The chill atmosphere sold it for me. Super cute ambiance, well rounded levels. Pretty simple mechanics but I had some fun maxing out my (kinda clucky) jump !

I love this game it's simple and nice. It's a great concept, it just needs a little polish (in jumps and collisions with the edges of the ground).

The gamepaly is neat, but the environment color is a bit disturbing.

Neat game, I had a good time, The music was real good, in fact the audio in general was solid. I also enjoyed the pixel art and particles. I only have a few gripes, The last level could be a tad frustrating sometimes with the slow moving platforms that you had to wait for. Especially then ones in tight corridors where I had to wait for them to go down as well as up instead of being able to just step off them. Also I did manage to clip through the levels twice so some small issues with collision I guess. Great addition to be able to restart the level. All in all had a great time! cool entry!

This game is really sweet - the combination of the hand drawn animals, the emotive yet subtle background music, and just generally chill vibe - it makes a really nice experience. The character jump feels a bit too heavy for me, they accelerate *really* fast downwards, but other than that I had a really nice time with this one
