Witch Courtier by alpacalypse

Full screen is strongly recommended. You can disable the tutorial and cutscene in Options.
Cursor scaling does not work properly on web, so for the optimal experience download the .exe. If running on browser, bugs appear to be least prevalent on Firefox, then Chrome, then Edge.
You have been summoned to attend the King and assist his economic reform programme by summoning the Furthest Direct Investment. Join the dots to summon outer horrors!
When holding the WAND, link the stars in any order starting from the green star. When holding the BRUSH, paint the four letters. Each has to be completed in one go in the right order. Don't run out of time, or the GREATEST RECESSION will descend upon the land.
You can turn the tutorial off and on in the OPTIONS. Press P to pause.

The drawing of the 4 runes was hard because the circles were so close together, it was very easy to accidentally go over the wrong circle.
The mood and art was great, fantastic job :)
> It would have been good if you were required to match the constellation shape.
This is also my main complaint. I would have liked the game to be more puzzly, rather than frantic. You can just draw any kind of shape and it works. Sometimes I even felt the constellation was better with less stars connected, but this wasn't allowed.
I could see this working as a "minigame" inside of some slice-of-life wizard sim, where you complete different tasks in your tower.
I loved the very creative demonic constellations, difficulty curve felt about right. It'd be nice to have a little more variety in tasks, but other than that very fun!
Nonetheless, a neat little game! I am looking forward to your next (witch)game!
(lemme just add how much I hated drawing that one constellation with a wheel and a drawing circle inside of the wheel. I always overlooked that particular circle for some reason)
One problem though: circles in corners are too small and close: it's hard to draw the symbols without crossing the wrong circle :( besides that, I also enjoyed very much your pixel art style with dithering and other cool details!
Also, ">:(" and ":(" in intro dialogue made me laugh a bit, that was good.
Really great job on concept, art, and music, it was enjoyable to give this a spin.
Watching others play your game can be extremely insightful, so I recorded my playthrough. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUxEJrqjNcU
It's true the King's dialogue is difficult to read. We couldn't find a solution we were happy with in the context of the jam, all the obvious ones (longer pause between rounds, click to advance rounds) would have compromised other aspects of the experience.

That was a lot of fun overall! I like pretty much everything. Constellations is such a cool theme, connecting dots and then drawing shapes was a nice combo, and with time it kept getting more intense! ^^' Barely had time to read what the Kind was saying :) (well I did read it all tho, and pff that was funny x))
Maybe shape-drawing could be just a tad more responsive, or I just suck at it. Was pretty easy to mess it up and for it to not be counted ;_;
I like how the screen flares up, especially after failure +_+
That pixelated BG behind the silhouettes is *beautiful*.
Great atmosphere, gameplay and idea overall! I enjoyed it a lot ^^
