READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE PLAYING

Clone Stacking is a puzzle game where you need to bring the little alien to the green field. You do it by moving around the level and summoning clones of itself when necessary.

There are 11 levels! It automatically saves the last level you finished.

Great game you made! I really like the sound design and music! The puzzles are not to hard and the mechanic is implemented nicely! Could maybe have a little less screen shake  The locks I feel did not contribute much to the difficulty. And it would be nice to have a different button layout. I am on a qwertz-keyboard and z and x are a little annoying in combination. I really liked level 10 it took me for a spin there but then I figured it out and felt so smart!

Nice entry. Puzzles were not too difficult. Nicely polished. Well done!

Fun game! Puzzles felt a bit on the easy side, but it was quite enjoyable! Felt very polished as well. Good job! If you are planning to continue working on the game, I think some more puzzle elements and variety would be the thing to focus on, as the rest is quite good already.

Fun game, I enjoyed the puzzles. Game felt very polished and particle effects were nice. Screen shake was a little too strong at times, but other than that the game was great!

Good experience, but a little easy. It reminded me of programming a little bit, with your clones being something like a call stack. I would be interested in seeing some puzzles that depended more on using your interim clones at the right time. Regardless, it is highly polished; sound, graphics, music are all good, and no bugs I could find

Very nice puzzle game which gradually unfolds its mechanics, becoming more complex from level to level. I also like the simple but effective and charming pixel art.

Great puzzle game. Wish there were more challenging levels. I hope you'll continue to develop this game :)

I like the simple and effective graphics and audio!
Puzzles were a little bit on the easier side, but I could see those mechanics being developed into very complex stages if jams lasted just a little bit longer.
Overall very nice!

Nice puzzle game. Minimalistic approach to controls and visuals is hitting different here. Liked it!

Have a nice Jam!

This is fun! I appreciated the minimalism on the graphics and sound - it was enough to get the job done, and didn't waste time with any frills. I was a little confused at first since the A key wasn't working, but then I realized you must have a different keyboard layout and it was the Z key on my machine that got things going. Excellent work for a jam weekend - the puzzles were easy, but I appreciate being able to complete a jam game in a reasonable amount of time.

Well done!

I couldn't get the game to start - when I pressed A nothing happened

Mechanics and engine are solid. Fun puzzle game that I enjoyed playing. While the puzzles were too easy, I think a few of them had pretty clever layouts. Definitely something there that you could add to if you wanted to make it a bigger project!

I have a question regarding the rules: if a vacant box (yellow) has the orange highlighted square, then it should be available to clone to, or are there any caveats?
Nice game btw

I love puzzle games and I haven't seen a clone mechanic used like this in a puzzle game before! Great submission

This was a lot of fun to play! Puzzles were quite easy, but I think this is not necessarily a bad thing - I think this game has a perfect gameplay time for a jam. And I always like the mechanics where I can kill myself in order to progress, love it! Effects are very solid too and overall I really liked it. The only thing that confused me was A and B buttons, it was Z and X for me. :)

Very elegant! Well rounded gameplay. The sound was cool, but a little harsh.

It's a cute puzzle game! There should probably be a reset-level button -- there were a couple points I got trapped and didn't have a way to sacrifice my last clone, so I had to reset the game. I also got stuck on the 10th level, where a bug wouldn't let me select the top two squares. Is there another way to solve the level?

Awesome puzzle game entry -- the pixel art style was top notch, loved the particles and the camera shake behavior. I do agree with the above that a reset option would be nice -- and I encountered the same bug as above which I think soft locked me?

Also, I had to use Z as my input, but the game was telling me A -- so something funky is going on there. A great game though!

The graphics and audio went well together! While the puzzles did fall towards easier side, it would have been appreciated to have a restart button or something similiar to it, as it was possible to get stuck on some levels. Additionally, it was confusing at first, when the game was telling to press A, while you had to press Z. Overall a really nice and enjoyable game!

This is one of the best entries on this jam! Because of you I now know about the TIC-80 platform, looks like some pretty cool stuff

I am jealous (in a nice way) at your ability to develop and execute such a nice package in such a short time. The controls are easy to grasp, the game explains itself by letting you play it. There are not too many mechanics for it to become complicated, but enough for it to have some depth. The audio adds to the game a lot, I really enjoy having all the clones walking into their demise to end up back at the original character after I achieved what I wanted. The game also does not feel too punishing and I think that makes it more fun to mess around with. Very well done!

It looks quite polished with the right amount of game juice. Levels and puzzles are well crafted. Art style and music matches the retro vibe of the game. I especially liked the menu which is too good for a jam game. Excellent job!

The puzzle mechanic is good. Maybe the game can be deeper with more puzzle elements, but for a game jam entry this is somehow enough. Great work!

Really cool game! At first I thought it would be way easier, levels 9-10 are really rewarding to finish! Congrats!

I love the audio sfx and bgm for this game it is very satisfying. This is a clever little puzzle game and I really enjoyed figuring out each level. The visual effects for level completion was a really nice touch. I accidentally got soft locked in level 10 by spawning a clone between my previous self and another block. I couldn't figure out a way to undo it and wasn't sure how to restart the level.

Overall it was a very polished and enjoyable game. Great work!
