Jimmy's Wish by ekkiiiii

[raw]
made by ekkiiiii for Ludum Dare 55 (JAM)

WORKS BEST IN FULLSCREEN, REQUIRES KEYBOARD AND MOUSE, HAVE FUN!

It's a microgame collection about performing steps from "Summoning 101" to summon Jimmy a companion for his birthday! As usual we did not get to do a lot of things we wanted to do (some you'll notice right away I bet!) but I think the result still is good for a bit of fun! We certainly had fun making it :)

Try it if you like occult themes and minigames!

I especially liked the graphics. I haven't seen this style yet and would not have thought of it myself. The minigames are fun and i think the time you got for them is exactly right, not too easy, not too hard. If I could wish for one thing, it would be to get a look at what we summoned at the end, especially with this art style. Thanks for creating this game! :)

oh man this art is amazing looks like a HQ from the 90s

it was a bit confusing to have to go from a mouse challenge to a keyboard challenge and at first I did not understand what I had to do in the spinning on (yes I am pretty dumb), but after the first attempt I managed to get the summoning complete

my very favorite was the nose one and the chopping, it was satisfying to chop violently that poor plant lol

Well known concepts but implemented in a pretty funny and cool way. Great job ^^

Cute little game. Loved the graphics, though it would be cool to see some kind of a conclusion at the end. Who is our new friend we summoned? I want to know!

Nice collection of mini games, reminds me of Wario Ware. I like the style of graphics. Good job!

Cool mini-games and animations are normal. It was a pleasure to play.

If you're downloading the game, you need to rename the folder 'ld551_data' to 'Jimmy's Wish_Data'.

Visually, I liked the game, but the font seems mismatched with the illustrations (I'm a meticulous designer, sorry).

It could have been nice to add a few more mini-games and delve deeper into the summoning theme; in this style, a visual novel would have looked great.

Overall, I enjoyed the game. Good luck!

The idea is cool and I imagine the game will be really good when everything is finished.

Congratulations on the work so far.
