Native Ludum Dare Embedded is broken for now. Please play the itch version instead. I will fix it very soon.

  • Combine any 3 of Fire, Water or Earth! Feel the power of Trinity!
  • Summon 10 different types of minions to fight for you!
  • Defend yourself from 5 waves of demon invasion!
  • Buy upgrades as you (actually your minions) slay through your enemies!

Engine: Godot 4 (Quite buggy on macOS I have to say) Audio: Bfxr, SunoAI (yes the music is AI-generated, thus I opt-out the audio rating) Graphics: Aseprite

Only web version is provided, but you can build your own version via the source code.

Please leave a review if you like this game... ... and bug reports, if any.

Few hints to get started with summoning: - Fire gives power. - Water makes it versatile. - Earth... gets more HP of course!

Win/Lose Condition You LOSE when your enemy destroys the wall. There's a health bar at the top right of the screen indicating the HP of the wall.

You WIN when you have eliminated all five waves of imps. They send stronger troops to the front as the game progresses, so make sure you get the upgrades and the perfect strategy.

Q&A

Where can I see all the formulas and minions?

You can't. Just keep trying, that's the only path to be a good summoner.

An enemy reaches the bottom row! What should I do?

Some minions attack their sides. This is when you need them.

Nice game !! Love the fusion mechanic to summon different type of creatures ! Art and music are really good too, quite impressive especially for a compo !
I still have some issues though:
- it's way too hard to understand (for me) what the differences between the summoning are, we don't have time to see their effects.
- level 3 is already waaaay too hard, i'm spamming summons and i'm getting wrecked

With a few more balancing of infos on how the game works it would be super fun to play I think ! Good job :)

Really fun idea. Design wise I love that the least powerful minions are the ones that have the most elements (bc of the cooldown). Great entry.

Pretty fun. Although there were some things unclear to me around the gameplay, as I was just spawning the cucumber guy because Q,W,E had the least amount of cooldown. I'm still not sure how I won or lost. Although you didn't make the music, it was not the right choice in my opinion. Good job finishing this game.

Very fun game. Maybe a little bit too easy. Once I figured out how to deploy my dudes, the enemies didn't really pose a challenge. Maybe the game would be more challenging if some enemies could 'lock' your elements or make cooldowns significantly slower. Or if you had to counter some enemies with opposite element.

Also, I really like the UI, all buttons and icons are big and it's clear what they do. Great job!

I agree with Tryannas! It's a bit on the hard side, or maybe it's because it's a bit obscure? After I while I understood that R is not another element, it's for summoning! :D But still, I lost on the first screen. The idea sounds nice, you should work on it a bit more!

The idea is great to test different combinations to find the right monsters. The graphics are cool. On the other hand, why do you have to press the keyboard buttons to choose the right summon resources, wouldn't it be easier to do everything with the mouse?

@piero-pbes-studio Thank you for playing my game. The QWER thing actually comes from Invoker in Dota, which I kinda want to simulate that feeling of QWW R WEW R combo .

The idea is good, while the operation feels a bit stiff. I think pressing QWER like invoker is true a cool spell casting experience. But the operation of dragging my minions into the battlefield takes a toll on the rhythmic feeling of casting spells(since dragging is kind of slow and distractive compared to qwer typing). Anyway it's a great compo entry overall. Good luck!

The gameplay is quite enjoyable and the variety of minions is admirable. The visual style is pleasant, and I especially liked the overlay of elements. Good job!

Great idea and impressive to have the upgrade and unit combo system working.
I am guessing you ran out of time to polish the game play loop, did you plan to have units counter other units?
At the moment the best strat I found is just to spam qwe->r to pump out units as fast as possible.
Still, great entry and good job!

Others have said what I think as well regarding balance, gameplay etc. But other than that I enjoyed the game, nice graphics and feel, good work! It would be interesting to see if you continue working on the game after the jam!

I've beaten and enjoyed the game, but the balance seems weird. Using summons other than qwe feels useless and upgrading reload speed feels unrewarding when you can upgrade minion damage and beat the game without much thinking. Would be nice to see specific types of enemies which will be immune to green guys for example

It's a petty you don't allow ratings for audio because I loved the music! The game is neat and fun, but some sort od handbook that explains how the various monsters work would have been a very good idea. For a long time I had no idea what to do when enemies reached the last row, it seemed like inevitable game over because my monsters wouldn't fight them. Even now the only solution I found was to have the magma monster explode next to them. Anyway, neat game!

Fellows I've heard your comments around balance. The version I uploaded is actually the easy mode of this game, which in this version all minion stats are increased. The cucumber guy should not 1v2! I will upload the "normal" version after the jam ends. Hope you guys enjoy it!

This was a great little game.
Enjoyed playing it, well done!

Is there a way to kill monsters that are already attacking your wall?
