>> Play on Itch.io

In Crafted Calamities you summon unholy creatures, harvest their hearts and obtain immortality!

What monstrosity awaits you? Thats for you to decide! Pick and choose different bodyparts and craft abominations straight from hell.

If you can defeat it, you can harvest its heart to become stronger yourself, eventually reaching the grand goal: Immortality!
Be careful though! Once you die, it is all over for you and the demon will drag your cultists soul back to hell where it belongs!

Unfortunately since exporting for web with Godot4 requires SharedArraySupport, we could not upload the web build here. Instead you can find the game on Itch.io (https://thelordofmuesli.itch.io/curse-of-summoning) or download it (which also comes with better graphics :D)

Идея с глазами классная .
I really liked the 3D pixel graphics. Nice merge of oldschool art and modern fluent and free movement.
The music also fits very well and the summoning animation, while simple, looks really cool.
Also good choice in making the abilities stand out with the black and white style.
Sadly I had a bit of a technical issue when playing in web. I dont have the largest monitor and for some reason I couldnt [F11] to get my game to go to fullscreen, so parts of the game screen were missing (tested it, F11 does work on other tabs in my browser).
That paired with the fact that you need to click the enemy to actually shoot, was a bit annoying. Shame, because I think you did a great job and would have loved to play as it was intended.
I didn't really need the dash ability, but maybe that's because I only got up to like 5-6 kills. That's not a bad thing though!! It just shows the good responsiveness and balanced speed setting of the players movement! Moving around and dodging felt natural and when I got hit I knew it was because *I* failed, not the game.
A second ability would have been cool. Maybe right click for a channeling shot that does more dmg and that you get after making your first summon that used all outer nodes of the pentagram or something. Would be a good contrast to the auto-aim base ability and would add some risk.
Overall, cool concept and good execution!! :)
All in all it's a great submission!
Some elements are clearly easier to deal with than others but in the end, you get the "hell" of "bullet hell".
Very cool entry !
Many times I took damage where I though I had enough distance from the attack, and the lack of visual feedback when taking damage really makes things harder to follow.
I also couldn't really win the game, even though I got all hearts?
Aside from that, I really enjoyed it.
@deive-ex Thanks for the good feedback. Yes the hitboxes are a little bit big and we did not have time to properly polish the ux, so feedback is overall lacking. The game currently ends, the round after you get full hearts, which might also be a little bit unintuitive
Enjoyed dodging the bullet hell, especially the eyes compared with the big pentagram, that really necessitated the use of the dash. Great job!
3D pixel art game is great also! Thanks for your hard work!
The only thing I really miss is better feedback when you are hurt and when you hurt the boss, since sometimes I just happened to notice I'd lost a couple of hearts but thought I had avoided all the attacks.
Otherwise, really fun an great game, with good balance to the mechanics.
Great work!
The "current power level" display is hidden by the player's health bar.
I liked the possibility of having several ways of building up the demon, and you have to do it wisely because it can quickly become complicated.
Great job!
