Oddly enough, this is the first one I've seen about cars! Good job on the art.

This is the post-apocalyptic car-wrecking soul-searching game I always imagined you'd make one day. It's an excellent piece of work from the sunburned aesthetic to the simple controls to satisfying feeling you get when you ram something. You've entered some extremely awesome territory, very cool!

So addictive. If it had a scoring system I could see myself playing this for far too much time.

This game was a lot of fun to play, kinda funny at first I just was passing the cars instead of ramming into them :-)

Great graphics, the audio is discrete but well done. At first I didn't understood why i was loosing but it was because I did not had anymore fuel. Apart from that the player feedback is good. The only negative thing I encountered is the car physics. Don't get me wrong, it's working and quite good, it's just that it feels a little bit stiff. I don't know if it has to do with having no animation for the car going up or down or if it linked with how the car respond to the input. I just have a feeling that it could more enjoyable. Oh and sometimes there is a long time before another car to hit appear.
Good job !

Some instructions would've been nice, I didn't figure out you have to bump into cars with nitro until my third go.

I like the style and the gameplay. I only think some scoring system would satisfy me a bit more. Other than that good job!

Very nice art and sound design. I had to read the comments here before I got you had to destroy the other cars to get fuel so it would be good if you provided some feedback on that. A nice reward sound or something for example.

really nice aesthetic. a couple of bugs I noticed: the music doesn't play on any subsequent runs, you have to relaunch the game. also you can get caught up in an obstacle and taken from full health to none in a split second rather than receiving one hit. I'm not sure how well it fits the theme, and some kind of goal beyond survival would've been nice (even if it's just a high score of how many cars you destroyed), but all in all it's a fun game with a cool aesthetic and I enjoyed it. good effort!

Hey all! Thank you so much for all the feedback! For those experiencing audio bugs: The updated build (1.1) on itch.io includes a few small audio fixes.

Understandably, those fixes were submitted well past the LD submission date and you are free to ignore that build if you like- but it's out there if people are interested in playing it with the sound working on consecutive runs, haha

I love the deep parallax background that makes you feel like the desert goes on forever. The big chunky particle effects are great too. I did not know you had to hit the other cars with nitro boosts until I read the other comments here. I was just trying to carefully push them into rocks at normal speed and it was not going well.

I really like the vibe of this game, It totally captured the wasteland survival thing and the gameplay is simple yet addicting.
Also the color palete fits very well.
I'm working on a game with a similar concept of car crashing, maybe it's interesting for you:

Good little game. Not much to see, but what is there is good. Could do with a few more things to do, though.

Wow! Now this is what I call fun! Not sure what makes it so enjoyable, but I love it! Maybe it is just something about destroying stuff that feels so good. Watching the sun go down really encourages me to play longer, because it gives me the sense that it's doable at the rate it's dropping and to see what happens after it does of course. Excellent job on your game!

I'm sorry I couldn't judge audio though, but I can't make noise right now... :/
