Summon Swarm by Talopic

[raw]
made by Talopic for Ludum Dare 55 (COMPO)

Link the magic runes to increase your summoning power

An enemy summoner is trying to mess you up, increase your power to make sure you come out on top. Avoid the red blocks so that you don't get counterspelled!

The left side of the screen is the play space. The right side is the ongoing battle between summoned creatures that you're trying to affect.

My first attempt at a LD, made in bursts over the weekend! My goal for LD56, learn how to make basic music.

Controls - Click and drag to draw a line from one magic rune to another.

Tools - Unity - GIMP - Chiptone - Piskel - VS 2022 - Audacity

I won! Being so focused on the left, effectively drawing runes, was interesting as the right slowly became more blue, but I didn't dare take my eyes off the summoning to check out the battle raging. Cool idea, cool game!

A fun little game of testing your dexterity! I would've liked to see more variations for the summoning paths on the left maybe!

This was cool. Drawing lines in a dynamic environment kept things really interesting. I sometimes got the same pattern a couple times in a row, but overall this was very fun. Good work!

Really fun game, challenging yet very satisfying when you see the blue slowly take over the right side of the screen after a string of successful links. Really good job!

Nice work on your first entry! I like that you kept the scope small and focused on the line drawing. While it was simple, it was still challenging, and seeing my swarm slowly overpowering the opponent was satisfying.

I liked having things moving in a line drawing game, don't think I've seen that before. also very hard to play on a track pad. well done!

Very cool concept!! I love the minigame/"main" game duality!
