Good job!
It wasn't clear to me at first how to incorporate the items into the resurrection, but after that I was able to battle pretty effective after some experimentation. I'm kind of a big fan of auto-battlers.
You should definitely release this game!
I think it would be nice to keep the surviving builds after battles.
Making builds could be simplified, even though thematically it works well to have to pick up and bury, it becomes a bit of a chore.
I'd like to have some choice in the battles but I understand the automatic mechanic comes with the genre.
I enjoyed the animations and polished pixel art throughout!
I love how you're putting some humor and silliness into something so sad!
Menu music is soothing and somber at times, so it's definitely fitting. Though I wish it changed during battle and post battle to give more immersion to what is happening on screen. It would be cool to see a UI with explanations of each buff buried with the necropets, or even adding it to the description to help new players.
It's definitely a very interesting entry with fun to be had. :) Well Done.
I will rate 5 stars if I could rate to the Music
The minimalistic tutorial told me just enough to get me going, and I was able to figure out the rest. Pretty polished too!
I faced the endless battle in the game. In onterwise game is cool. Pretty graphics. Interesting theme implementation. Solid gameplay. Good job!
I just kinda randomly added items to the animals and didn't really get when I was playing good or bad - some easier way to distinguish strategies would be nice. Also this is just a personal thing but with such great pixel graphics I'd love if the font was sized also low-res with the same resolution instead of higher res.
Cool transition effect. Sometimes I had to laugh about how the items changed the pets, although at first it was not clear to me how to use the items. Very original!
Edit: Played it again, I didn't realize you could pick up multiple things at once. I managed to score a couple of wins, which felt great! It was very fun to experiment with different item combos and it was further encouraged by seeing the item effects actually being visually applied on your pet corpses, that was a really nice touch I really enjoyed. I'm glad I gave this another whirl, I definitely appreciate it more!
You can also pick up several items of the same type, but you can only bury one pet in one grave.
Each item gives the pets different powers and also changes their appearance. If you're willing to give the game another chance and try them out we will be very grateful, but it's totally fine if not. We appreciate you liking the atmosphere and art!
