Footlong Flight by YellowKamel
The creators of the critically acclaimed "A Living Space in Limited Space" of last year's LDD are back to deliver a new interactive experience!
Footlong Flight

Our wizard is back - less woolly, but a new, more sinister, less animal-friendly version.
So, what does an evil wizard do when his favorite sandwich chain is closed, but hunger strikes? He makes a sandwich, of course. The only way he knows how - through a demonic summoning ritual!
You will be unfortunate enough to be a fly in his walls, caught in the middle of this dark and twisted rite, so it's only natural you'll want a piece of the cake (or rather, sandwich) after surviving this mess.
The Goal
Your aim is to dodge the wizard's impressive catalogue of spell books as the raving storms of his summons tear apart his library. His portal will emit dangerous lasers from foreign dimensions too, so watch your wings!
You can catch 5 different pick-ups, which give heal your fly, grant you a short burst of speed or invulnearability and permanently boost your dashes or your health pool.
Controls
Steer the control point which your fly will aim for with WASD, your arrow keys or a joystick.
Dash fast with your shift key or the A face-button on your XBOX controller.
Survive 3 minutes of this madness and claim your price - a byte of freshly made sandwich - right out of hell's hottest oven!

Great all around honestly, my biggest issue honestly was that the music didn't quite fit towards the end. I felt like my little fly was fighting for his life after being battered around and I was only just making it out by the skin of my weird little fly teeth -- but the music wasn't growing the match the tension/excitement. The visuals and gameplay were each doing their part. Considering you're being ranked on the audio which I assume you made though I don't think this is that big of a deal -- especially since I didn't use my audio for my game!
Again, great gameplay. Some more few nits that came up:
* Why is there a laser pointer? I feel like I'm controlling the fly and all the lore is about the fly buzzing around of his own volition -- to avoid the debrie.
* Upgrade that I think increases max health doesn't make the bar bigger. The number may be going up but as a player I don't feel like it went up.
you're right, we did have a music producer on board :) i'm glad you enjoyed the game's tension. we chose the control theme to reflect the somewhat erratic and unpredictable movements of flies, i'm sure it's hit or miss :)
It's a bit difficult, I personally couldn't figure out what to do when the pentagrams showed up, but I couldn't really outrun them. Good game you got going on!
It reminded me a bit of a game I used to play as a kid called Mr. Mosquito.
Really cool graphics and sounds. I loved trying to snap up the powerups before they got away, and having to dodge the beams of light was a nice mix-up to the random debris.
Cool game, thanks for sharing!

Homing on those pentagrams was tuper cool, I always felt at the edge of avoiding them and it felt rewarding :)
Sandwitch obtained!
