Summoner Defence Forces by Gerolmed
PLAY WEB VERSION ON ITCH.IO (link below)

Summon your units and defend your core from enemy waves in this little arcade game.

Reinforce your team by unlocking different units!

Destroy massive waves and beat your highscores!
All game art (except the text) is rendered via SDFs (therefore the game name) because our artist got sick and dropped out right before the jam :/ We also used raylib for the very first time which brought its own challenges to the ring. Overall it was a lot of fun and we definitely learned a lot

Cool concept, it was really difficult :D
Would like for the summons to stay closer to the middle so that they dont let half the enemies through.
Also it would be nice if the units stayed after the shop.
Good job!
I like the idea and it fits the theme. I feel like there's some balancing issues that could help - I always seem to not have enough units to protect the first enemies for example.
Had a really fun time with it though! I do feel like all the units except for the light units kind of sucked, they were just all pretty undertuned, and it felt like picking any units but the basic ones would always end up screwing me over.
I really enjoyed it though! I'm surprised with how much fun I had considering how simple it was, definitely one of my highlights of the jam! Nice work! ^^
+1 For using Raylib and Makefile I did something super similar in terms of build strategy :)
Solid entry team! Keep it up!
Love the art style and the music and sound suits the game well. It could probably do with a little balancing but overall, I think it's great!
At first I said: "Ok, I understood the concept. One more wave and then I'll quit."
After the next wave: "Hmm... probably one more wave"
After the next wave: "1 Heart! I won't do it any longer! But I WILL NOT GIVE UP! Go go go, Light over there - Medics there. Ah, Archers well done!"
I now realize a bit confused, that I actually got carried away :D
This was a simplistic yet really polished game, with great soundtrack, the difficulty curve seemed on place and I had a lot of fun playing it!
You nailed the entry, congrats!!
I spent 20 minutes without even noticing! It always feels like crisis management and as soon as my army gets big enough to feel comfortable, it's a reset. Great work! Light units though felt like the only strategy for the first few rounds and experimenting with others just led me to a quick defeat.
You got a very cool game here! **Plus it's *very* similar to mine! XD**
I have to say, it seems you made a better game than me xD.. quite a bit more polished, great job! The best about it, as others have mentioned, is that its super intuitive.
I like the graphics and the sound (fitting and hooky), the gameplay is fun and there is variety! Now the only thing (while I am biased due to my own creation) I sometimes really wanted to do stuff I couldn't - e.g. move my army in other parts of the field. But then again, this should push players to do better planning at the beginning when they see how the enemies will be positioned.
Overall, great job : ))
