Super awesome mechanic, so unique and really fun and satisfying. What a crazy idea to put together for a jam game!
Great unique use of the theme as well.
My only criticism is that the camera movement speed was low, which made it a bit hard to control with a trackpad.
My 10 tower course:

I don't think I'm ready to start level 100:

Definetely worth expanding into a proper game with proper art and story.
Maybe you could spin a universe and purpose around it? Some kind of world building or space exploration! Many options there! In my opinion, go for it, you have something cool at hand, which is one of the best outcomes of a game jam!
Edit: just wanted to add that it did feel really cool walking along the winding path that i had drawn!
the jump height is the only thing that I disliked in the game I think, I would either go with higher, or no jump at all.
bonus point for the unzoom when you finish a level, seeing what you have built, it's really cool
i like how the tension rises naturaly as the higher you are, the more you have to walk back if you fall
