Two Birds, One Climb

Meet Isa, a flightless cormorant who must traverse the Galapagos landscape to reach home without wings big enough to fly. She will have to rely on her fast-flying, legally blind best friend Bumper to rocket her up the slopes. With a trusty bird call to summon her pal and a springy toilet seat that washed up nearby, Isa just needs your help to pilot her and Bumper through this rough terrain. Good luck!

(PS - Isa would appreciate if you found her some tasty squid along the way!)

Loved the graphics in this! The shield mechanic is super cool, even if it's a bit difficult to get a grasp on. Got stuck on level 3 or 4, just couldn't make this one right to left jump lolol overall a really pleasant experience, also loved the music.

The idea is really cool but I had a hard time with the parry mechanics. Good simple tune too.

Nice idea! The mechanics are very complex, but very interesting!

Very cool idea, good balance between sticking with the theme, without it being the same as everyone elses :) I think a game like this with a game pad (so you can use the two control sticks) would do well with the meat boy / celeste demo :)

Love physics games and this one also has a good vibe of two buds just doing their best. Great entry, had fun :D

Nice concept! Has a Jump King vibe but is also incredibly difficult. I was struggling to clear the first gap that required the summon mechanic. Jump King works because it's so precise and predictable. The bird coming at me as a propellant never felt totally reliable and that made it tricky to control!

I love the the concept and chill vibes of the game. The movement is challenging and took some getting used to. It is a little annoying when Bumper gets stuck in a corner or out of camera though.

This was fantastic, a really unique premise! Challenging too but satisfying when I get it right. Excellent work!

As others have said - tricky physics, or maybe the puzzles are just too hard to start with.

The summoned birdie reminds me of Beat from Megaman, was it the inspiration for Bumper?

Awesome music as well!

Interesting mechanics, but ultimately too difficult for me. Nice graphics, specially the UI work! Keep up the good job.

Music it's relaxing I like the vibe it brings.
Graphics and matte painting are a bit flat. 2D games seem very good express some art like Gris, Limbos etc..
On your case with the birds could be a bit more funny and look like "Tuca and Bertie".

Camera was very tough, Sometimes you have to jump blind and hope you'll reach some platform.
It took me a while to get that you can move the bumper with the mouse and to place my self as I should to make the jump.

The mechanic seems quiet complicated like the physics of the little bird colliding plus de option to parry etc..
Maybe some easy levels to start with would have been awesome. I reached level 3 after dying a lot of times.
And I tried many times there to go to the door on the little platform but was super hard.

Hope you had great time as well doing a little game in 72 hours :)

I appreciate all the effort that went into this - very nicely rounded out for a jam game! The controls took a little bit of getting used to but once I got the hang of them it was flowing nicely. The look and feel and overall vibe is very nice - polished without being too formal! And the ongoing tutorial explanation was a nice touch - it's hard to teach mechanics in such a short window, but it did the job well.

The audio wasn't working the web build for some reason, which as a bummer - may have to try out one of the other versions to get the full experience. But job well done!

This mechanic is really creative for a platformer game! Although I found it challenging to place Bumper where I wanted, specially because of the map getting in his way.
Maybe there could be a mechanic where you click somewhere on the screen and he will fly to that position, going through platforms but not interacting with Isa.
