I love smithing style games and this is one that I didnt think i would ever see with a theme like this but it really works! It's very difficult when getting to the later waves though, once the things with the scythe hands came i could never get past them, maybe to make it a little easier you could make it so you could upgrade how many summons you can have at one time, but i really loved the game!

With more possibilites of upgrade I think it can be a really cool game (the sound effect of the anvil so juicy)

Very well polished, but I think it needs more balancing work. I'd like to be able to remove my own minions because of the minion cap. There were a couple times where I wanted to summon an upgraded unit, but I was capped out and had to wait, resulting in my anvil getting killed before I could get more defenses.

After a couple tries, I got a strategy that worked for me, but the xenomorph looking snake always got me in the end.

Overall, I really like the presentation and the idea of having to summon at the anvil was alot of fun.

@owtuvammo that's a good point. I was trying to figure out a way to sacrifice them but haven't got any good ideas yet. Thanks for playing and providing feedback.

I think the game could be a bit more balanced, it's pretty difficult to keep up once the 4th enemy comes out. I think there's an interesting push and pull where you have leave the forge to collect resources but it's undefended when you leave. Good job :)

I really liked! It was easy to understand and fun to play. The concept of the game was incredible. The art style was also cool, I liked the animations, very simple and poooint. I just thought the difficulty escalated quickly. Good job!

Interesting, intuitive and fun gameplay loop, I really enjoyed collecting the materials and then crafting minions to protect the forge! Art style is simple and fits the game well. Only thing it needs is a bit more content to keep it interesting over time, such as ways to upgrade your forge or your minions.

The smithing to summon is very cool, reminds me of the forgemasters from castlevania! collecting the drops and then using them to summon more is a pretty solid loop!

Simple but curious game mechanics. I guess it could be scaled with different behaviors of minions.

A very addictive, and quite challenging game. I had a lot of fun! It would be great if the items were pulled up in a slightly larger radius

Cool mechanics, i love how the summons are a bit differentso you, for example, don't want just the big guys because they would be too slow. Good graphics, i ust wish there were more vfx to spice things up, some impact particles, some effects to make picking stuff up more satisfying, things like that. Awesome for 2 days, gg!

It was very fun! The game is really polished, and there is only one minor issue i had while playing:
My spirits would sometimes get stuck on the anvil, which would cause enemies to come close to the anvil.
Other than that, this game is really fun to play, well done!

Excellent implementation.
At first I lost 5 times in a row, then I more or less understood how to play. The game turned out to be similar in mechanics to the one we made with the team. Only here you can call everywhere.
But this implementation is also interesting.
Super!

I like it, its simple, fun and the pixel art is good, tho i do wish you could select your summons by scrolling because sometimes i went past what i wanted to summon and had to go around again.

Really nice! I thought the wave counter was broken at first but then I realized it skips more waves each time you loop around. I wish the looped waves would progress in difficulty a bit faster but it was an interesting way to scale up the game. Great work!

Nice art style, it is cohesive and the animations were a nice touch.

Game feels good to control, having to balance resource gathering and minion summoning was fun. Having different
resources for different summons was cool too. I did hear some sound effects but no background music that would have really polished it off. It did get difficult towards the end

Overall great entry, I had fun playing it!

Really fun game! I like how there is a choice between going out to get resources or staying near and summon creatures. Sometimes you just summon a bigger creature to get yourself enough time to go out in another direction and sometimes you just rapidly summon slimes because you don't want to lose any materials. I liked it

Great game! And wow, those sound effects are so satisfying ahahaha.

It is smart that you have to pick up the ingredients so that you don't stay at the anvil all the time - but maybe it'd be fun to have something else to do while summons are defending? Also a way to return my summons to the anvil would help: I had 4 minions out of 4 in the corner of the screen killing monsters there, while the other monster destroyed the anvil without any problems.

Overall, the gameplay loop is very addicting and fun! Also love the art style :)

Very fun game! It gets difficult quickly, but forcing the player to move to get ingredients to summon enemies is a great choice! I had a similar idea of bringing back enemy drops to summon assistance but with a much different execution. Good job!

Very satisfying! I could see it being interesting if summoning required more than one smack of the forge, like if you had a progress bar to fill. I just like smacking the forge and want to do it more

Managed to make it to wave 16 though on my second go! Was so close to being able to summon one of the big dudes with the blue gems, but I was overwhelmed in the end.

Summoning was super satisfying! I felt like it was a bit to easy to get killed when one of the three minions didn't attack something, and then there is nothing to do.

Interesting game, I like the progression in difficulty and summoned allies. The addition of your base's auto-healing is a really good addition, so that I'm not that much at a disadvantage if I mess up early on.

Good game design! I like that you can summon only when you are near the anvil.

I liked the mix of going out to gather resources and staying close to summon helpers. I think that only allowing for 3 helpers of any kind is a little punishing because often I could have the resources to build more, but I already had 3 so I just stood around, and then my 3 would get wiped out really quickly and I couldn't build the others to recover fast enough, especially when the helpers sometimes got stuck on the anvil itself. I still really enjoyed the game, though, and I like the art, especially the "handwritten" pixel font!
