SoundSummoner by goddzeproject

[raw]
made by goddzeproject for Ludum Dare 55 (COMPO)

I hope you will show imagination and call for something beautiful or at least unusual. Thx for playing!

Controlls:

A or Left Arrow - to jump left

S or Right Arrow - to jump right

Space or Enter - to summon (play)

P.S. yes, the game has no final goal as such, but the mechanics itself suggests that gameplay is the very purpose.

Cool keyboard. Would be nicer to be able to use QWERTY keys to press the keys instead of left/right.

looks and feels cool, but it's really not clear where the game is)

I miss 2 things:
- A longer keyboard, so I am not so constricted in the songs I can play.
- hotkeys or mouse input. Any of them work, having to move a key at a time to play another note breaks the pace and makes it really hard to play anythig.

If this was solved, it would make for a decent piano simulator.

I think you could keep the key-at-a-time limitation, but it would be nice if there were more keys, I can only play the first few notes of the pink panther theme currently :(

'tis a nice piano though, and has promise if you plan to make a bigger one

This is a really fun way to interpret the theme, haha. I have very little musical ability so all I could really do was hit keys and watch notes fly up but I imagine more musically talented people could do some cool stuff with this. Like others say it seems like it could be expanded on too. Well done!

Was a bit hard to figure out things out, but when I went through it I actually enjoyed it.

Well done!

An unusal but cute entry. I liked the animation of the hand and the notes

Nice little piano mechanic. Would be cool to have like a melody to play in a certain time without making mistakes, so you could turn this into a game. You acan make a level system with increasingly complex melody and see how far you can go without making mistakes. Good job overall!

As mentioned by others, a better control system would be nice - Hard to play any sort of tune as is. The base piano simulator is good though.

Finally I can pull out all my piano skills and play all three child melodies!

Unique entry. I second aforementioned: longer keyboard would have been nice and using keys or mouse for inputs could have been better than cycling through each key. One octave isn't simply enough (for me at least).

Nonetheless this could easily have extra development and features if you feel like it. Adding second hand could be interesting to see...

EDIT: Ludum Dare embed didn't start loading for me but itch was fine.

Good job!
