The amount of enemies that spawn is chaotic but in a fun way, and I really liked how you could destroy parts of the environment too. Killing enemies to regain magic is a fun mechanic too, meant I could stay in the air for quite a while when I was playing well. Like the art a lot too, thought the mouse cursor was a very nice touch. Looking over the source code, I find it fascinating how \"from scratch\" you managed to make this.  When I think of games \"from scratch,\" I usually consider external libraries like SDL to cover window creation and sprite drawing.  Seeing basic windows functions used instead impressed me.
