What an awesome art style I really can't say enough good things about it. The music is also 5 star worthy. The gameplay was a bit confusing initially and I struggled with the controls, having WASD controls while having to press 1234 can be a bit challenging at times. Overall I really enjoyed the gameplay concept and it was a fun experience. Great Job!

The art and sounds are great, the game looks like it a complete game. The gameplay is like Vampire Survivors, but with summoning and it feels right. My only complain that it was hard for me to understand the summoning spells. Which ingredients summon which ally. Nevertheless, it is a good entry for the jam's theme, as I thought of Vampire Survivors clone too.

I love the art style but the lack of color does make it a bit hard to see what's happening when things get chaotic. Overall very good game. Nice work!

Game was really fun! Only thing i wish was different was that the things you spawned were a bit more obvious that they were on your side like them being a different colour to the enemies for example. Game was visually amazing other than that though!

I love the art and the intro to the main menu! The gameplay is a fun and pretty unique concept, but something about the way the main character moved/the art all being the same line width made it hard to look at/hurt my eyes.

The art is really nice! The assets are lovely but as you move things become a bit of a blur and it gets harder to understand what is happening ,there were moments were the screen would get way too crowded too. Maybe giving the player a different colour and giving the ground a darker gray might help? Overall it was a fun experience!

Good job.

the art was really nice to look at. though one suggestion, instead of the transforms your doing on the images, maybe try out the southpark approach and just let the characters do small hops. would be pretty funny to see with this art style too. :D

I second the hop idea. Those drawings were too fun to not animate!
I found that skeleton archers were pretty damn strong. Summoned a bunch of them and just started mowing down those rotten critters. Not sure how my pride likes being taken down by forest creatures XD

@jcmonkey @storeyware We will definitly give a try to the hop idea ! By the way, it's not really a transform but everything is animated using shader and moving each vertex independently which give us more flexibility with the movements we can make :)

Yes skeleton archers are super strong but they wont get in front of you get attacked, so I would recommand to add some melee summon to your build ahah

Really fun take on the vampire survivors formula! I really liked experimenting with different combinations of ingredients and ending up with new minions I hadn't discovered yet. I think the difficulty ramps a little fast (I didn't realize I could spam summons as fast as I could type initially) and trying to hit 1-4 while controlling with WASD is a bit tricky sometimes. The art and music were both stellar though and this was a really polished experience overall!

A good idea and a very interesting process. But there are some problems with optimization. This may be due to the web format.

Nice one !
A little bit sad that I have to use my mouse to invoque :/
The space bar would have been enough :)

Nice art, good music, smooth controls. he widow in itch was very small and on LD the game didn't launch. But once I figured summoning it was fun! Great job and good luck!

Nice idea! I found the graphics kind of hard to read. You could try to add more contrast between decorations and entities

Great art style and music! It seemed a bit difficult, but I am not familiar with those kind of games. The number keys above WASD is not a good choice in regards to accessibility.
But, in any case, having a Linux download is a big plus for me ;)

Pretty fun! I know the style is black and white, but it would have been nice if like, your guys had a slight red tint, and the enemies had a slight blue tint, just to make it easier to distinguish which is which from the background. Overall nice game!

I love the visuals and the general aesthetic, it got me immediately hooked! The tune playing in the background is also super catchy! The gameplay is very interesting, it's really fun seeing what kind of weird and cool looking monsters i can summon, although controls are a bit unfortunate. It's very hard to move with WASD while also trying to summon a minion by pressing numbers. Switching to numpad helped a bit, although I still had to complete summoning by pressing LMB. My suggestion would be to maybe enable summoning using Spacebar or some other button, it would really make things much smoother. Overall, I still had a great time!

The controls were tricky, but I spent a lot of time laughing while I was being demolished by adorable woodland creatures. Very stylish, and nice polish.

I think it would have been more fun if you could scroll through possible summons with mouse wheel (with resources needed for each summon in the UI) instead of having to manually select the resources. It's a fun game with fitting music and sound. The resource pickup sound really reminded me of Stardew Valley. :)

The art style is really cool and I love how everything moves when you walk over it. However, I did find it a little difficult to tell who's an enemy or a summoned creature, especially with so many set pieces across the arena -- I'm torn though, because I genuinely really like how it all looks and would prefer a more interesting arena to the typical boring vampire-survivors-like background art. The music was also fantastic, loved the jazzy vibes.

I really like the concept of having to craft a summons in this style of game, and would love to see more options/recipes as the player "levels up". Great job on the submission!

WOW! I really liked it! It became glitzy by the end, but maybe it's only my browsers problem. It has aesthetic which shows in both art and music. It is intense, but not too much. I just wish you would add idle/walking animation. Overall it really is great

Amazing game! Loving the art style and simple but fun gameplay! A bit of stuttering in the browser version, but that didn't bother me too much.
One thing is that it gets difficult to see what's what, i kept running away from my own summoned monsters

Despite being a bit tired of vampire survival-type games, this one really caught my attention during the game jam! No complaints from me, visuals were on point, and it was just plain fun!
