About Us:

Hello there, we(crafteverywhere and LP!) are a two-person team from Beijing, China, and honestly these two days participating in Ludum Dare 55 have been a precious and interesting experience. This time, we bring you a local two-player competitive game that embodies the spirit of early Flash online game, including elements like hand management, dice-roll, match-3, combat and so on.

We hope you enjoy our game and welcome any feedback and suggestions.

Note: This game only supports two players playing locally and requires taking turns using the same mouse.

Game Description

Developed for Ludum Dare 55 Jam, Necromantic Duel is a local two-player game that uses dice.

In this game, you push your dice into a 4x4 grid. To cast a necromancy spell, you need to align at least three same symbols connected in a line.

Before you push the dice, you can use your necrotic energy to re-roll all your dice if you wish to change their symbols. The dice that get pushed out will be in your hand for the next turn.

Necromancy Spell List

  • Bone-a-Rama:Summon a skeleton to your battlefield (skeleton count +1).
  • Cutting-Nails:Your skeleton's minimum or maximum attack increases by 1.
  • Without-Chivalry:Perform an additional attack.
  • Calcium-Tablet:Your skeleton's HP+5; if the skeleton's HP is full, its maximum HP +1.
  • Epic-Spell-Slot: Gain an extra die. You can have a maximum of 5 dice; if you already have 5 dice, immediately attack the opponent's skeletons, dealing 5 damage.

Story

A shard of divinity, once lost to the mortal realm, now promises rebirth beyond the confines of flesh.

In their quest for ascension, two liches engage in a titanic struggle for supremacy.

Summon skeletons, vanquish your adversary, and rise to godhood.

Sounds interesting, no link though rn. Feel free to tag me when you upload. Also you can add a second developer to the team so they appear under the title of game

Looks like an interesting concept. I haven't played a lot, but it looks unique. Seems like you two are planning to build it up further so I hope I get to play it when it's more polished, because it feels like it has potential.
I just wish it had battle agains computer tho

I like the concept a lot. Add some complexity to the gameplay and an online component, and you've got a solid game! Well done!
