Interesting mechanics and just the right amount of challenge. I didn't expect to see a balanced game in gamejam, but you made it. It was a bit hard for me at first, and the instruction was slightly lacking, but once I understood the mechanics in-game and played it a second time, it was just right. I like the absorb-exhale mechanic, it requires a little bit of resource management and a trade-off between summoning and attacking
I especially liked the design of the third level, which was a real "aha" moment for me when I understood the shielding scenario!

I liked this a lot, it's like a crazy eldritch shmup megaman. Would have loved to see more bosses, but I appreciate that you can keep looping and take advantage of all the powers you've gained!

Visually and audibly the game is great. It's a very unique idea for a bullet hell style game with a nice retro feel. It was a bit hard at first to figure out what I needed to do but once I did the gameplay loop was fun and intuitive.

Fun game and the I liked the music - gave me updated arcade game vibes! Didn't even notice the summoning until my second go around but it's a good extra dimension to the game

Really excellently designed! Loved having the trade off between dodging, picking up bullets and using the summons. The attack patterns were nice and varied too - I was surprised that the bosses kept showing off additional moves throughout the fights. Nice work!

I liked the idea of collecting bullets instead of dodging all of them. Although I will say that it was kinda tedious waiting to get some for the powers, especially since most of the powers were defensive and I didn't really get hit. So I ended up just shooting for most of the game. Also I wish I knew why I was beating up all this cute ocotopi ;-;

Liked having to collect some of the fish as ammo and I liked all the different powers - I liked how the shield power worked well against the whirlpool power. Had some weird issues with the screen size affecting the size of the play area.

Super cute idea! Nicely executed, game felt very smooth to play. Pixel art is excellent as well. I never knew I need and octopus in a top hat in my life!

Well done! Nice touches on the game feel. The pickups have a generous hitbox while the enemy bullets give a touch of leeway, resulting in a nice feel that getting hit is MY FAULT even when I'm caged in by bullets.

Music is great and really adds a lot, nice job with that one!

If I could add one thing to the game, it would be fullscreen mode. But that seems to be something very few Godot games have, is that a limitation of the engine?

Art was nice, and the pedestrian names for violent space aliens who ended up impressed by me was funny.

I had fun with the game, nice work!

I really liked this! It felt like a fair challenge, though I personally would have appreciated some harder levels as well. The idea of using abilities from the previous areas was cool.

My biggest complaint would be that it's short and that there isn't that much content, but given that it is a jam game, that's not really a big complaint. I'd be interested to see you build on this idea!

There's also a few places where you could give the player better feedback-- namely, with the charge meter being all the way in the bottom left corner, it's hard to keep an eye on it. It is good that there's an audio indicator, but I honestly feel like there could be a pop-up or something in a more central area of the screen. This would be especially important if you did expand on the game, and there were more abilities that hit full charge at numbers other than 10 (or the one 15).

Really nice game. Loved the music and ambiance. Bullet patterns are great and the hitbox is just about right (lenient but not overly so). Good job!

I really enjoyed playing this one. I don't generally play bullet hell games, but this one was really fun to complete. As stated above, the difficulty was just right for me. :D Probably becuase of how summoning was incorporated, allowing for windows where I did not have to dodge anything. I really appreciated that. :)
Btw, we also wanted fishing... :D
