Interesting idea, but I had quite a few problems with the rats pathfinding, they would get stuck behind houses or down right become highlighted and start running away from me haha

Re the pathfinding: They follow the last rat rather than the player :)
Thanks for playing!

Very good job! I like the graphics, sound and effects. It all fits together nothing feels out of place.
Oh dang where is the past half hour gone :D I loved to play these types of games as kid for hours on end. Like doing something simple yet satisfying.

After like 10 min. I realized a 'vacuum' strategy which felt pretty good to figure out and send dozens of rats one after another into their demise! I don't know if it was intentional or not, but as player it was very satisfying to find it and then find ways to keep the stream of rats going.

I whish that the movement would not slow you down too much uppon hitting a wall, which you constantly do. A bit more give would feel a lot lot better.

I really like the color outline on the rats to let me know when I'm getting full on my followers. The music and sound are really great too.

Translating the premise of the Pied Piper into a game makes the game all straightforward, even without the instructions.

it was mystically cute and gorgeous, nice music paired with good visual style and gameplay do their job, but I think some of the exits are quite cruel to the rat, and if you remember the full fairy tale, it becomes very creepy:)

I love the art style, the game is fun and very easy to understand. It starts out super chill just vibing with the art and music and then you realize the rats are breeding as you are getting rid of them and then it become A MISSION! to get rid of each and every last of them! They will not defeat you. I found this a very fun progression.

I realize that the maze effect of the houses are intentional but if there where some more pathway in between the houses that are visually obscured that would lessen the frustration with all the dead end, but that is definite a minor nitpick. Great game

Very nicely done game with good animations and sounds. Is it a bug or a feature that I can infinitely level by just clicking on my stats in the bottom right?

Art and music are excellent, particularly the lighting effects.

I loved the vibes of this game! Great visuals and audio / music. The gameplay reminded of vampire survivors, just a lot more chill and simple, but there was still something addictive about the sound you hear when another rat gets enlisted or when you "cash" them out. Quite polished too.

Great entry, good job.

This was really fun, I liked the take on the theme and crossing it with the Pied Piper. It was cool to see RPG elements where you could improve different skills, and it was really satisfying getting a bunch of rat followers all at once and bringing them to the docks. I think the city looked really cool, though it was a little hard to navigate with all the alleyways/dead ends in the city. It also felt like the number of rats would increase forever, which works well for this kind of game, though having some levels with goals (i.e. X amount of rats killed) would add some challenge too. Nice job here!

Thanks everyone for trying the game, it was our first jam and we really enjoyed participating!
@thecze - haha I must have reused the level-up UI and not removed the button functionality!

@thecze lol yeah 100 speed go brrr.. No but seriously this game is so cute! The music and art fits super well together! Maybe I broke the game by upgrading all the stats to 100, but the rats got stuck at those bridges and would not move anymore. But yeah maybe thats on me :D
