Use portals to defend your castle!

Enemies are attacking during a meteor swarm! This underhanded tactic will not work against your magical portal skills.

Instructions

Place portals to redirect meteors to hit the enemy soldiers

Controls

  • Drag and drop to place and rotate portals
  • Left mouse button = Green portal
  • Right mouse button = Red portal

Tips

instructions.gif - By aiming one portal towards a meteor and the other against your target, you will most likely hit - The red portal will be placed "backwards" in order to make aiming easier - Struggle with the meteor swarms? Make an umbrella! instructions2.gif

Nice game. But it's so hard to play it :D
My brain was not ready to this

This a smart gam design! The game is a bit hard to play because you have to control both of the portals and their directions which is not always clear. Maybe starting with one portal or som precision training would remove the frustrations. Other that this a very good submission! Good luck!

@gorr @freakyzelga Thanks for your early feedback. I added a gif that hopefully can help future players with the unintuitive controls going forward!

The idea is really fun and I had fun trying the game. The controls felt a bit confusing, and the game was a bit difficult. But overall it's a pretty good combo game. Well done.

It's a bit hard to predict in what exact angle meteor will get ejected out of the portal, but it still fun game!

Cool idea with the portals and I liked the graphics as well. I agree with some of the other feedback that it's not entirely clear in what direction something will be flinged or at times even if the rock will enter the portal or not. Figure out a way to make dumb people like me understand what to do and I think you've got a hit. Well done!

Nice idea. I liked the addition of meteor barrage, it helps you clear the larger waves. Nice difficulty also, it took me 3 times to beat it

Really fun game !

I was not ready when those 9000 meteors came at me :')

I think there is a visual issue with the orientation of the sprite of the portals, I had difficulties anticipating the trajectory of the exit of the meteor

Nice entry!

Really interesting concept!! Sometimes I found it hard to kill the enemies because no meteors were spawning but overall fun game!

Super clever! Very innovative and original idea. The game is difficult, but I think it's an advantage. Great job!

I really like the concept of this one. Took some practice to get used to the orientation of the portals -- I think a way to make it more visually clear which way they need to be oriented may be helpful to new players. The music was fitting and the sfx were pretty funny. Graphics are basic but work well for the concept. As others have said, the difficulty curve is fairly steep, so maybe that could be slowed down a bit too. Overall nice job!

Nice, don't think I've seen a Portal/Missile Command mashup before. Love the hand drawn art!

This is a great idea! The simple combination of elements is more fun than the sum of their parts. Nicely done!

Bug: When I didn't click on anything at the "you lose" menu for a while, it suddenly went to the "you win" menu.

Did not understand the drag and drop on the rotation, but had some fun with popping a meteor out and then recapturing it by moving the green portal. Definitely an interesting mechanic.

The knights sound effects are PERFECT  ! Its a cool arcade mechanic, only the portal orientation is not very clear at the beginning but you eventually get the hang of it. Good job on your game !
