Roaring Randy Reptilian Playboy by Arskiainen

[raw]
made by Arskiainen for LD33 (JAM)
Roaring Randy is on a city break looking for love. He won't be finding any, but maybe in a DLC. Unleash your lizardly vigor on the city of New New Temp in the mean while.

I wanted to get some animations and stuff in so I went with the jam.

Maybe next time I'll try and get some fancy menus and scoring stuff.

Controls
----------------------------------
WASD to move, Space or click to Roar, R to reset.

I love the buildings breaking into bits, and the monster model could definitely have been awesome will a little texturing and eyes!

Not much of a game as of right now IMO, but it definitely opens up the way for something really cool!

This is very similar game to mine, though I use way simpler graphics (I've never modeled before)

Fun like a toy, feel like a kid knocking down blocks!

I walked on one or two buildings and suddenly the FPS went to 0 and the whole map exploded. That was interesting. I like the sounds of the teeny tiny tanks and soldiers. Though rather simple, some people may assert that this is as entertaining as the recent officially released game. Bravo.

I loved that the humans(white cubes) ran away.
i would have liked it if the game was a bit faster or if you could charge into a building

Smashing buildings was fun - hopefully Randy will find love someday.

The core gameplay mechanics though simple worked surprisingly well. Was very fun playing as a huge monster and squishing those tiny pedestrians. Nice audio too. Really excellent proof of concept, would be interested to play an expanded version.

Nice reptile model, would be fun with some score/goal and timelimit or something, and some sounds :)

The Monster has a good "heavy feel" to it

Destroying a city and scaring the townspeople is pretty fun! Wishing there were both a scoring & threat element in the game to make for a challenge & a reason to keep coming back for more.
