Lucky Little Darlings by Emiliabea

LLD is a hidden object game with mostly narrative elements focusing on a trio of siblings that have magical capabilities. They run an online shop of retro/vintage items that are cloned by magic, but it isn't bringing in enough money, so they decide to summon lovable creatures and make a business with them that will capture the adoration of the masses(because they are so cute and cute sells)
Inspo: We have always wanted to make a game with this set of characters and for this jam, we created a loose interpretation of the idea we had - which was never meant to be a hidden object game. We have a set of creature designs made already, and created new art for this project that would feature them.

What we didn't get to:
More drawn frames to support the story so it doesn't feel stiff
The hidden objects disappearing off the shelf once selected

I think the object for the blue cat was a little hard to find.
Also, I love the way you presented the summoning bible. I thought the characters were about to go find an ancient book or something haha.
I wish there will b fewer dialogs and more gameplay.
Still, great job in participating!
I love the choice of colors greenish purple and blue
the music has a very short loop and becomes a bit repetitive.
Gizmo-core got me laughing lol
the magazine is so rich and the personalities feel authentic
the music in that room you have to find the items is way better
oh no

btw this took me a looong while to find

Amazing experience I had a blast, the only thing that I would change is that background music, way too short of a sound loop

This "to be continued"... YES, I want to continue! :joy:
I'd love to see the next chapter!
Outside of that though, this was a cute game which clearly had a lot of love put into it - which has a ton of personality to it

Random thoughts while I play:
- I was confused why Dad is asking for rent xD
- Loved looking through the journal with little darlings, and it looks soooo good
- 1st little darling is literally our MC??
- the journal made me think damn that's really cute, because I made a "picture book" for my game (also wanted to make so you can look through it but didn't have time so it's just a single picture) and yours works sooo much better, taking notes x)
- love the chaotic energy of the game x)
- in hidden object part, would be nice to know what we are looking for, as whole BG looks the same so objects don't even stand out from the rest, some list or silhouettes would work
- in perfect world objects also disappear once found
- I ended up just clicking on diff objects mindlessly until got them all
- I realized midway we are supposed to use the journal for reference (what little darlings want) so now that makes more sense but I still think object for finding should stand out somehow as it wasn't too clear
- or maybe even make journal light up when finding objects scene comes up, and throw in a phrase that clarifies that a little (specifically when the mini game starts!)
- aaand it seems I got to the end!!
- now I am a bit sad I didn't realize the idea behind object finding right away, though ig it was implied through dialogue, it wasn't clear enough for me and I wasted that opportunity just clicking randomly ;_;
- the sound when darlings appear was very horror-like, expecting horror continuation xD
