Abominable by Cosmic5

[raw]
made by Cosmic5 for LD33 (JAM)
Play through this point-click adventure game as Cole Olo, a mercenary and resident of the Cyrberpunk dystopian city "Ark". Cole is at a low point in life where his cruel and generally self-centered attitude has led him up one of life's dark alleys. On this morning, Cole gets a job to take out some mutants that have run free from a science lab in Ark city,
but will Cole find out who the real monster is?

So, this is our game-jam game. We, unfortunately, were not able to finish the ending :C. But what's there is still pretty cool! We plan to do a post-jam version coming up in a week or so. If you want to find out the fate of Cole and the mysterious monster, be sure to check back.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy Cole's adventure through "Ark". All art and music was done during the jam hours.

Controls:
Left mouse button: Click on ground to move. Click on an object to "look at it". Click and drag an item from your inventory and place it onto an object to use it on that object.

Right mouse button: Click on an object to "interact with it" or hear a snappy one-liner about why you can't.

Space bar: hold space bar to have all objects in the scene highlight.

*This game is 16:9, under other display resolutions some items may not be shown. If playing in the above web player, make sure to fullscreen.
*The puzzle is the last completed scene by now.

Your windows DL link is missing the "_data" folder for a unity project! It won't run without it :(

Really good graphics (except for a few parts where the text was a little difficult to read) and the audio fitted really nice too. Good little adventure game and great work for the 72 hours!

We made a mac build but found out it wasn't working. We've made a new one now and are going to throw it and a link up sometime today.

Interesting.
The graphics are as good as I've seen for LD.
The story.. I want to know more. I'm sad that you didn't get to finish it. =\
Beyond that, once I figured out where my inventory was, it's a solid point and click adventure.
The music cut out after a bit, (still in apartment), and didn't start again. No sound at all, if there was anything else.
Well done!

A solid adventure game, took me a moment to figure out the inventory but it was smooth sailing after that. Really good graphics!

Nice graphics! I got stuck at the puzzle with the two bars, though; I got both bars into the red brackets but nothing happened, and it didn't seem like there was any button I could press.

Nice idea with switching characters to get the story going. I think it needs some sound effects for actions like picking up or using items. Items in the inventory seem to be out of places but that's a minory bug. Nice entry overall.

Interesting game - the graphics are very nice (if a little hard to read at times) and I think you set the scene very well with your art and music. I think that "Call 555-555-555-5555" may just be my favourite quote, I liked humorous touches like that! Did the game finish after the flower puzzle? I tried to enter the lift after that and the game just looped. Still, I liked the dual narrative as a way to subvert and swap the perceived roles of the hunter and monster - and apart from some typos throughout you handled everything very well. Great work, keep it up! ^^

Whoaw, cool game, reminds me of Gods will be watching (takes place in future and similiar art style). I really like this setting, hope you will continue working on this game and i mean something like fully developed game which might be on steam someday, because i see huge potential here.

I really liked the graphics of this. It felt like an old-school game, but just a touch better at the same time.

I found moving around to be somewhat frustrating, like sometimes Cole didn't really want to move. Otherwise, I thought the music fit very nicely with the overall ambiance. Its too bad it isn't finished... I too bit off too much on my story, so my game isn't really finished either :(

Great story! So sad you couldn't end it >.<
Mood is awesome! Great graphics and audio!
Just the city scene is a bit weird, since the characters are bigger than the buildings ^^; I know you couldn't finish the game, but just some additional points... The inventory didn't really store the items very well, and it was a bit awkward to use it. Also when I walked from or to the stairs, it was a bit weird since the character walked the shortest path, which made him float in the air. But that's just detail.
Anyway, great job!
