Wish I could control the creation of clones separately as I kept getting stuck under them.
Interesting theme.

Tried to brake the game by spamming but didn't manage ;')
Love the art and the different characters !
But I don't understand why sometime, I summon above me and some other time, under me :/
And the music is really good but spoiled by a permanent noise in the background :/ (Maybe a bug that I have on my side)
I ADORE that the lil guy looks at the camera when he's idle. Such a nice touch! The art style is really lovely and the cutscene was a great idea — it really sets the tone for the rest of the game! The idea is a super fun take on the theme. I laughed when I got stuck in this corner by the line of birds!!!
Great job!

From screenshot above, I think we all get stuck at the same place, buried under an army of clones :)
The character sometimes does not face the direction he's walking to, making difficult to make clone spawn around the place we want. But everything else is so cool.
Anyway, thanks for the feedback you all, we had a lot of fun doing this game! :)
The idea itself is fun and well executed.
Good job :)
I love the animations and the art style. The forest reminds me of Eiyvind Earle's work. Nice! The introduction was really perfect.
I like having multiple kinds of summons, and really really enjoy the gameplay of using them to platform with. I wish they always summoned below me though, so my jump wouldn't get interrupted if I pressed it outside of the perfect timing window. I also think that the player should be stronger than the persistent chasing enemies, so you're not locked in a gridlock so often. It felt fun to run away from a pack of them, but not so fun to spam jump in order to clip yourself out of a corner.
The clown is a 10/10.
Really fun and funny game, thanks for sharing it with us!
- If you do a jump from the ground, a clone should spawn near you (usually behind and a bit in the air)
- If you do a double jump, a clone should spawn right under you (ingame explanation of the double jump: you actually use that clone to push yourself upwards :')
- If you press the jump button in the air and don't have your double jump left, the clone spawn right over you. This was intended to be a way of telling the player "Hey, you can double jump, but not triple jump, don't push it too far!", and kindly punish spamming.
But all of that is way less intuitive without the dialogs to help understanding it ^^'
TLDR: Use doubles jumps, not more. Spamming = chaos
The biggest problem is the controls. This game is really frustrating to control unless you know how the clones are spawned. However, since there's no explanation, it's really difficult. It was only until I read your comment that explains the controls that I could actually enjoy the game more.
I feel like the clones should be the central mechanic, but if you know how to double jump, then it really is just another platformer with a double jump that's disguised as something else.
Also, even though I was playing on the desktop version, the background was jittering a lot. There was also a constant sound that sounded like it was coming from the clones running, but it was very grating on my ears.
As far as the game goes, I loved the art style, the story was a lot of fun, the SFX and music was pretty good, and the idea behind the core mechanic was great. I just think it could have been executed a bit better.
Great entry!
I played for quite a while, got stuck by all my clones as other said. Wish there was a way to reset to a checkpoint but clear out the clones.
Despite the simple mechanics I found it challenging. The third level where you get chased by the pointy clone versions are where I got stuck. It became frustrating trying to double jump off those curved platforms over the spikes -- this game could really benefit from a coyote jump!
The chase level was also a little monotonous because I found I had to press "r" to restart the whole level as otherwise the placement of enemies could leave me stuck. Would have preferred the game do that for me!
I cute game with a few gameplay quirks.
I hope you still had fun!
