It was a bit difficult to know if stuff were placed correctly on the table, and if it mattered if you had other extra stuff other than the pieces needed. Would be nice with some more feedback in the game here as I initially didn't know id something didn't summon because I had the wrong items or because there were other items as well.
Sorry, but didn't manage to summon anything. The actual game play is great except for the fact that you have to use the 'WASD' keys rather than just pressing 'W' and use the mouse to change directions. I had to use Windows TaskManager to finally kill the game to get out.
I wanted to play but summoning was not very clear to me
EDIT:
I went back and played again asking the head Wizard dude if I had the right stuff and he gave me hints.
So.
1. Get you assignment from the Wizard. Look for clues in the assignment.
2. Go around and pick up things you think might complete the summoning recipe.
3. Present what you have to the Wizard.
4. If you have extra items that cannot be used the Wizard will tell you that.
5. If you have almost all of the items the Wizard will give you a clue as to what is still missing.
6. Once you have presented all of the correct items to the Wizard you will summon your assignment.
7. You will receive a new assignment. There are three assignments.
Hope this helps.
Had trouble finding something that hisses, apparently electrical wires worked somehow? Most of the hints were good but some seemed completely random and required just trying everything.
I also tried interacting with the table rather than talking to the teacher to hand in the assignment, that part was somewhat unclear.
We always try to design our games that people learn themselves how to play the game by trying things but in case that did not work out. So I will add more information to the description. @beebster-games you gave the perfect example of the information that needs to be in the description to make the game more clear without changing the build.
EDIT: We have also uploaded a new build with an exit game button and made the summoning table interactable
Glad to help! Your game is great and a lot of fun!
