Demons stole my stuff by Zirrrus

[raw]
made by Zirrrus for Ludum Dare 55 (COMPO)

You summon demons using a summoning circle and different materials to get back that stuff they stole, by using a rather questionable handbook.

Interaction is entirely mouse-based.

If you get stuck, you can find a Zip with screenshots in the downloads section.

Cool concept, sound effects would've improved the experience a lot. The clues/dialogue was actually pretty good! As was the art

Got stuck in the hexagon summoning but it was fun

I had way more fun with this than I expected. Needing to remember the house of fire and looking for clues in the lizard's eyes really put me into the zone. Alternative endings per level could be an interesting way to take this game further. Great job!

The highlight of the game were the funny texts. I liked the principle game mechanic and it got me thinking quite hard actually.

Unfortunately I didn't make it past the pizza level. I'd gladly take a hint for that one and continue playing the other levels

I agree with the other comment, that music or some sound effects would have really benefitted the mood

The visuals were good. I like the color choice of the summoning circle.

A bit tricky to understand some of the summoning spells, but that's sort of the point  I enjoy your sense of humour.

Cool game with cool story! Would love to play the big version someday, with battles and stuff! Great mechanics, loved "House of Fire", lighting candles and all the other things :boom:

Neat! Clues were great and fun, not too challenging but just right for the jam I'd say! My biggest complain would be the lack of sound.

The darn cheese summoning had me stumped for a while, but the rest felt frictionless! Some audio would have been nice, but I know how it can be hard to cover everything in a gamejam. Great job with the art and the writing as well

This was really fun! I loved the dialogue, humor on point, and the riddles. Definitely fits the theme as well.

Nice idea, I liked that it was not obvious what you had to do at first

Nice puzzle mechanic. I found the clues to be just right in terms of difficulty. I agree with previous comments saying that sounds effect would have improved the overall mood, but the crisp graphics already carried it a long way. Good job!

Thank you for the kind feedback, everyone!

@ViniFlores @simonL If you would like to give it another try, I added a Zip with screenshots of the individual needed configurations. Couldn't find a way to embed them as spoilers, so I had to do it this way.
