Important latest version only fixes the elevator issue in lvl3 if you ran into issues with that part before. For the finale, the hint is very important!

Lovely work. That last bit was something and because I didn't read your generous hint, I was stuck on the last level for a time. xD

My only critique would be in that long elevator climb, I once didn't make a lift switch and I was left staring at the screen for a bit. My character was in the screen below but the camera didn't follow. Thankfully I didn't press any directional keys and I just had to jump constantly to try and move forward. I feel like that should definitely be fixed.

Cute game! The tiny baby skeletons made me laugh :) I was unable to complete the game unfortunately because I got soft-locked during the elevator climb-- I kept trying to reset but it spawned me offscreen and I couldn't get the elevator platform. I thought it was cool how many different uses you came up with for the skeleton summoning mechanic

The game was pretty fun, but there were some things that felt inconsistent. Damage seemed to be delayed sometimes and the skeleton combat seemed a little random when they did damage. Other than that, I didn't see the point in doing the multiple elevators in that long shaft. A single elevator would have worked, it didn't seem to add anything other than some mild annoyance trying to jump on an elevator on a screen transition.

The idea was really cool though. I enjoyed myself and played the whole thing so with some more polish I could see this being an amazing game.

I love the mechanic of utilizing skeletons to fight and to solve puzzles. I was having a really hard time with the jumping on platforms when they were going high (after the sign that notes how high they're going)

Some parts feel very hacky to pass, but overall a nice work !
Liked the many usages of the skeletons.

Cool little game, with some nice graphics. The awakening concept was really cool, added some different gameplay options (doing it with/without was both possible in some parts, really nice)

only complaint would be that whilst the music is nice, it doesnt quite fit the vibe of what i was playing. keep it going! :D

I really like the artstyle and the music. The concept of having the skeletons nullify the spikes was cool, too. I could see this becoming a cool puzzle platformer. My only real complaint is that the finale seemed impossible. I think the intention was that I needed to jump forward, dark star, and spam skeletons for my life before the lasers started, but I wasn't able to get that to work. Once the lasers were on, I was cooked and I simply couldn't get close enough to the mines to clear them without the lasers getting in the way. There was also one time where I got hit by a mine or a laser and then my character started moving really slowly for some reason. Other than that, I thought the 3 levels before were great. Good stuff!

@maymay @azure-drake @scottjmulligan I have fixed the elevator and provided the build alongside the previous versions if you are interested in giving it another go.

@dovodx The awakened dark star clears everything in the finale, the hint mentions to click R -> E and that should be it :) Thank you for the feedback!

It's a good attempt at creating an interesting platformer, but there's still a lot to work on. The controls are not smooth, and I got stuck at the stage with the elevators.

@sevadusk Ah, that was it. I hadn't realized that "awakened" meant press R first - I thought it was only for the big skeleton. Tried again and got it.

I enjoyed the laser light show. I think some of the mechanics there were interesting with how you used the skeletons. I don't think the game was long enough to really flesh out the mechanics and were only really used once. I think you have made a good submission for the jam. Good job!

@cody-holt I really wanted to make more levels, but after the second level and looking at the time I rushed things a bit haha. Thank you for the feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed the laser light show!

Interesting idea, but had some troubles with controls & last level is too difficult

@custodi Thank you for playing! For the last level, if you press R then E, the level is completed :)

Was super fun to play! Covering the spikes with the skeleton was a cool mechanic that made for cool puzzles. The levels were fun and of a good length. Great game, gg

The mechanics were pretty simple, yet have a lot of potential and were used in a lot of creative ways! Though there weren't many levels (and that last level is a bit hard and seemed unfair, lasers don't really fit the aesthetic imo), I had plenty of fun!

Solid entry, would like the sign to stick around a bit longer or let me step off them to dismiss. The difficult in with the R was a bit confusing but, otherwise loved the summoning mechanics.

Great execution of the topic. Instructions were a bit unclear at times, but overall a great job! The tutorial texts could stay up for a little longer.

Nice game. Only I got stuck a lot and had to restart. Also, sometimes you don’t see what’s on the next screen and you’re immediately walking/falling into the spikes, because you’re afraid to find out what’s next. In general, as prototype game, it's ok.

I will be honest: I judged this game off its looks at first. But when I saw the core concept and started playing through Level 2, I was really impressed. And then the looks of it started to grow on me. What a great game! I think the hit boxes for the lasers were a little funky, but it didn't stop me having fun.

Great work :)
