Damn! Jury Summons?! by kleinzach

"Damn! Jury Summons?!" is a game where you you play as a demon lawyer trying to send the defendant to hell.

How to play: - You are the demon on the left. Above your head is your energy. - When you have enough energy, you can use abilities. These abilities are at the bottom of the screen. Some require you to have a target. - Select a Juror by clicking on them, and your abilities will target them. - Move the bars above the Juror's heads to the left by the end of the time limit. If enough Jurors are on your side, you win.

I was pretty rushed at the end, so its missing a level of polish, but I hope you all enjoy it!

Simple and well executed. It took me a couple of tries to win, turns out reading the character of the jury members helps a lot figuring out which abilities will be helpful. I love this take on the theme!

Love it, but it seems kinda chaotic. Still, interesting idea! Good luck!

Very short, but interesting game. @smilewood thank you very much for the tip. I managed to beat it by following your advice. It took me a few tries blindly going in at first, but wow, that really made this easier.

I figured delaying the proceedings would be a bit more useful, but you can win without it. Maybe that was intentional and it was a point sink.

Regardless, I enjoyed this short game.

the game pushes a lot to use "pander" for my taste which is much too effective. but I had fun playing the game

Took me a few tries to find a strategy, but I had fun doing it. Liked the visuals and the music! Thanks for building this!

This is a very fun little experience! It's pretty short and sweet, but I really like it! I think you could definitely expand this into a larger game with multiple sets of juries if you wanted to continue it! There could also probably be some room for balance tweaks but in 3 days you did a great job!

Super fun game! The game is short but still has its unique mechanic and requires some strategy. The art and audio are also very nice and suitable for this game. Great work!

Nice little idea! Cleanly executed, but a little slow. Onboarding was a little hard to understand and there wasn't much feedback. A little too difficult for the amount of engagement that it gave me. Good work!

I was able to accidentally win my first time by spamming pander before I realized what you're supposed to do, but with some balance to force you to actually think about the different abilities and jurors it could be interesting.

Nice and simple gameplay but still has some interesting little mechanics. A very good idea for a jam game overall ! Congrats !

this is a really nice interpretation on the theme, I enjoyed playing this a lot. I learned that a good strategy is to banish the giant eye since it always sides with the angel then try to convince other juries individually rather than all at one! the art style and music are really nice and add a lot to the game. I wish there was some kind of gameover screen but I understand that you can only do so much in a game jam. great work!
