Descend into the chilling depths on Ludum Dare 55!

Harnessing the mystical powers of Unreal Engine 5.4 Preview, and utilizing tools like Houdini and Motion Matching, this demonic realm was forged in under 72 hours for Ludum Dare 55 by:

Let's see if you can survive our creation!

Note: Hey, demons aren't runway models! We ask that you overlook the character animations (asset store) and instead feast your eyes on the spectacular VFX and haunting world we've built while marveling at the numeric wonders of a tediously configured motion matching system.

I really like the idea of using the material to create the ghost like character, the visuals are interesting though the environment is easy to get caught on and found myself being thrown off the side a couple of times. one of the better submissions i've seen over the years, keep it up!

@cobby Thank you for playing and compliments! Our apologies for the terrain issues, the motion matching tuning + jump/slide/charge states unfortunately ate up too much time and payment came from the polish to terrain. Always looking for world builders to join the team if you know anybody!

Kudos for making a 3d game, nice concept overall but simple, but great job.

@xzt Thank you! We were a bit worried about being able to pull it off, especially with an animated player character. Now that we know a bit more about how to get the base in under a short timeline, really opens up a wide range of possibilities for LD56.
