What a cute game! I love the concept!
Why can't I do the same with mosquito in real life :(

Игра приятная и довольно милая, хоть и, лично для меня, грустная из-за знания того почему светлячки реагируют на свет фонарика

A wonderful little game! I enjoyed it. Wonder what could be causing stuttering issues with the WebGL build

@stormsword Thanks for playing! That would be a dream xD

@wisstopher Thank you for playing the game and that you liked the mood :)

@sig00d Thank you for playing! The original idea for the Overload-"puzzle" (If you can even call it a puzzle ^^), was that the trapped fireflies would be freed from their attraction to the artificial lights, but I couldn't complete the ending sequence in time, to make this clearer :(

@ping78 Thank you for playing it! The Godot Profiler tells me, that the frametime spikes are caused by the Transparent Render Pass (> 100ms). This seems to be a problem with Godot 4.3. There is an issue on GitHub, so I think I can't fix it easily. I had other issues with the physics system as well. Godot feels a bit experimental atm ^^

Love the vibe and sillouette reveal with the flashlights, pretty cool mood and minimalist style!

such a nice and simple game, loved it!

the idea of manipulating flies with a flashlight from one light source to another was so creative while also following the theme pretty nicely, enjoyed it a lot!

I was pleasantly impressed by your game, everything works so harmoniously with each other. it's cool that it's intuitive what \ where and how) But guys, where's the sound?((((( It is sorely lacking, its absence slightly destroys the integrity of the atmosphere (or is it some kind of bug? hmm Hmm -_-) But anyway, it was fun to play, thanks for this wonderful project, keep it up!

@charlychive Thank you for playing! Glad you liked it :)

@vector3cat Thank you for giving it a try :)

@4tr33 Thank you for trying it out! :)

@lerkadverka Thank you for playing and that you liked it! You're right, the missing sound is very bad for the atmosphere. I wish I had enough time to add some. Maybe after the jam :)

It took mr for a while to figure out what should I do....BUT after fully getting the idea, I find it warm and interesting. Maybe you can add a explanation at the beginning because doing so really helps players a lot!!!!

I am so calm after this.
Wasn't calm when I realized that I was not supposed to move all of the flies to the right.
But I am calm now xD

I'm rather confused after playing this game - I liked the simple graphics, and how you can "pick up" the insects

but at the end it got me thinking "why did I do that - is this really what I wanted?"

quite interesting entry!

Beautiful concept! I would definitely play a longer version of this game, especially if it went down the puzzle route. Awesome entry :)

Ok something that I dont have to replay many times to complete, and it's lovely. The arts & shader is just really good!

Really nice atmoshpere, too bad there was no ambient audio becuase you set the mood so well visually.

The mechanic was super cool at the start but quickly started to become a chore to move the escaping bugs. Dont know if "pushing" or "pulling" was better. At first i though the map was circular and i was confused why there is nothing happening after i light up to lamp xD.

I really liked the only vague help there was for this minimalist game.

Definitely nailed the mood of your game - dark and eerie. Took me a while to realize I need to turn off the flash light to drop off the bugs haha. Awesome little cut scenes - nice polish :)

Cool concept with a unique twist. Sometimes flies just vanish for no reason, which can get frustrating(. The theme is super well done, but it feels like it could use a bit more variety in mechanics. The visuals and mood are solid, giving off a nice atmospheric vibe. Could be more engaging with a few tweaks!

Fireflies  This looks like a minimalistic variant of our game  - I really love the style, the reduced graphics, the atmosphere and also some nice innovative game mechanics with the flashlight. Maybe some ambient sounds like crickets would push the atmosphere even more.

I love the minimalist graphics and premise, but unfortunately the actual gameplay gets tedious fast, with the fireflies constantly wandering out of the torch beam and forcing you to either scoop them back up or come back for them later, with no clear indication of how to mitigate that. It didn't help that I loaded every firefly into the left-hand bulb thing, only to then realise there was a second bulb-thing on the right that the game never told me about, and at that point I realised I'd have to try and somehow manhandle half the fireflies across the entire width of the map and just gave up. So... yeah, maybe a bit *too* minimalist in terms of telling you what to actually do.

well first of all - thank you for this game! it's minimalistic, but on point with the ludum theme, grapihcs and idea, i loved playing it! not without a struggle though, since i had no idea that there's the second light that's supposed to be loaded up haha but it's not a big deal for me.
please keep it up! :)

So minimalistic, and still so much on point. There are so many super smart things here that just work together for a fantastic little game.
