Keysmash is a game about smashing keys.

Long ago, when the egyptian empire was strong and... actually, there is no story in this game. You just destroy keyboards because fun.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Get a friend to play this with.
2. Sit down in front of the computer and start the game.
3. The stones at the bottom of the pulleys will display a letter. Press your letter to lift your stone.
4. The letter will change after each button press you do, so prepare to fight over the keyboard.
5. Whoever reaches the top first wins!

Please note that the Web Version is missing some small graphical details.

I would honestly rate this a 10/10 in mechanical design regarding game concept and fun. It has great looking pixel art and font artwork.
There is one thing that bothers me though: You need another to play this (._. )

Almost broke my keyboard playing this with a friend. It's kinda impossible to not wake the cheater inside you half-way through by trying to cover the entire keyboard with both hands lol

Amazing idea! I can't wait to get this to the office and start some fights and break some keyboards. I actually thought about making a (very different) game based on the entire keyboard, but I changed my mind.

Hi, nice game and congratulations ! We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #36. We made the same thing at the previous jam.

Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description.

Hey, thanks for the feedback so far! Really glad you enjoyed the game!
I should probably play it safe and tell everyone that I won't be responsible for any damage you do to your keyboard...
Also, I just uploaded the game to indiexpo, so go ahead steph. Thanks for choosing my game :D

Damn that's hard! I mean if you don't play with someone that as slow as you, it's impossible! But damn that's fun.

10/10 for making me go through 10 keyboards. I love the twist that there isn't actually a story, I am awaiting the movie adaptation.

Neat game! I included it in my compilation video series of Ludum Dare 36, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/09-iIm0Xcrg
