Gnomin' by Jvdwijk
Disclaimer: Our LDtk kind of was broken and not wanting to work with us from the beginning, which resulted in a lot of waste of time, which is the main reasoning for a lot of things not working properly atm...

✧ Help the gnome save Halloween! ✧
✧ A 2d platformer, inspiration from games like "Getting over it" and "Get Out Joey!", filled with a story that takes you on a folklore adventure with tiny creatures!

✧ Controls: - A - D for movement - Mouse movement for pickaxe rotation - Hold left click to hook onto hooks - R to go back to checkpoints
During the game you'll experience two types of movement, good luck!

We ended up with quite a big team, but it definitely did not make the time limit easier. Sadly some people also were not available for more than a few hrs. So we hope you take this into consideration when giving your vote to our game, as we've sadly been judged on this in previous jams.

✧ * Bug fixes: *
Fixed the leaderboard!
Fixed pickaxe glitches in web version

✧ Post-Jam:
We hope to implement a skip button for story and a speedrun version without any story aspect of the game.
More polish will be added to the post-jam. Expect features such as the settings, leaderboard, more checkpoints, small camera fixes and the rest of the story!

Overall the graphics were really good and the controls were just the right amound of jank. I think I just needed a little more skill to finish it. For me the volume sliders were set to minimum on start up for me so I couldn't turn anything down. Good job though, it shows a lot of promise

Good game! Keep it up :v:
I finished with 15/20 wisps, but for some reason the collectibles page still says I got zero :(

(well, at least I got to enter on the top 10 leaderboard... for now)
Looking forward to the post-jam version (even though I know I'll be as bad at it as I was here 😅)
I think the issue with wisps is that they don't store the information anywhere atm? But thank you so much for the note so we can figure out a fix for it! *I think most things in the main menu isn't working atm tbf* Again thank you so much for the contructive feedback!
The thing I liked is that pickaxe really felt like a pickaxe: it would open secret paths in the walls, it would mine the rocks projectiles that's supposed to fall on your head, it would mine the gold(aka spirits?) etc. This systemic stuff is very good. And I think it has potential to be expanded even further.
This was my first time playing a game of this type and I enjoyed it. I also somehow managed to get on the leaderboard!
