Sweet Home ? by Oduvan
Just wrapped up my first Ludumdare! 😅 Spent the first half struggling for ideas, but finally pulled it together. Missed the 48-hour COMPO deadline, but finished in 72! Proud of what I made

Well hello! I won't say that the idea is original, but it was interesting to play the game. The game is smooth and responsive, nicely drawn. It was enticing to play, but for me something was missing in the gameplay. Maybe building towers and other enemies? However, you were alone and aiming for the compo, so I want a lot). Great job!

Your game is awesome, I had fun all along. You are spot on with the theme, art is good and you have got a nice moody music.
Gameplay wise I wished to be able to upgrade the damage and healing I deal.
You did really good, congratulations !
I can see future expansions of the game, for example if you would add buildings (defensive towers, healing bays etc.), which would transform it a little bit to a tower defense game.
The theme was fitting and I got attached to my little ants. The game worked well and it was easy to understand the gameplay.
Congrats to your first Ludum Dare project and enjoy playing the other games. :)
1) I do not understand why the ant soldiers attack one by one and not in a group (as in the last boss, because such a function is in the game). It's funny to see 1 ant with 5% hp attacking the enemy at full health, while the ants around him return to the anthill.
2) The progress bar sometimes covers crumbs, so it would be better if they did not fall in places where there is UI.
3) You could diversify the upgrades, add click damage on enemies or damage from ant soldiers.
CONCLUSION: Even with the flaws, I was hooked and I really enjoyed controlling the anthill, especially giving orders to the little ants. It's a good game!
Cool idea and good job putting it all together in time by yourself!
Kinda felt like an interesting twist on clicker games :D
