Veil of the Forgotten by Akuma016
Introduction: "There once was an ancient civilization that filled the lands with its beautiful architecture and lived in peace with Nymphs—little spirits that protected the nature of this world. But all things must come to pass… Centuries later, our Main Character awakens from a deep slumber, only to find herself in an unknown place, unable to remember her own name. So now, she must step into this world, lift the veil of the forgotten, and discover unknown mysteries."
Description: “Veil of the Forgotten” is a 2D platformer game focused on overcoming obstacles using special skills (some still not present) granted to us by the little nymphs. The goal of the game is to find two runes that will help the character move on to the next level of the game and explore different areas and biomes of this world while uncovering hidden secrets.
Future ideas: -More levels; -Two more biomes; -New fun mechanics; -Story and interaction with the characters; -More polished and detailed graphics.

@seiran thx to @ale-x he did the art,
btw it's our first game and ludum dare,
thx for feedback
But it's not obvious that the player should press twice W or space to jump higher. Also, returning to the menu is impossible without reloading the page, that's a little frustrating.
I recorded myself playing the game, and I bring it up in the video, but there's a section with a "blind jump" where the player is required to move downwards, but the floor they need to land on is off screen. My biggest piece of feedback is to always make sure the player can see where they are trying to move the character in a platforming game.
And here's the recording! Cheers!

I really like the character's style. However, the background is sometimes pixelated and it stops abruptly.
Too bad there is only one functional nymph.
And thanks for feedback from someone with 7 ears of ldjam experience we plan on developing the game further
Btw you got a handsome voice
