Herding these things by qfeys
A 2D exploration / cat herding game. Try to make it to the end with as many cats as possible, withouth them running away. There are 17 in total. Good luck.
Really happy with hwo this turned out. It had been a wile since I last actually finished something, and while this does not have the most complicated mechanics, it is an actual game.
Made in Godot. Art made in photopea.

Nice! The font was a bit difficult to read, and the sounds got a bit jarring after a while so I had to turn them off. I also accidentally closed the game a couple of times as I as moving around with WASD and the tutorial told to press CTRL, so naturally I pressed CTRL + W which closed the tab. :D Anyway, a fun concept, I liked it!

I liked how the cats interact and have a mind of their own. A little annoying (but realistic) when they got in your way. Use some cuter cat sounds and make them play less often, and the sound would go from hilariously annoying to cute and fun. Managed to get 11 cats saved.

I could not crouch (mac os/chrome...) and ran around for a little while; it was nice to collect cats, the difficulty increases nicely with them fighting and preventing you from moving. It does feel like having cats, although it lacks some in-game feel for the progress.
